The Adsorption of Polyphenoloxidase Enzyme on the Active Carbon Derived From Hazelnut Crust and Analysing Its Kinetics
Abstract
In this study the hazelnut crusts taken from Trabzon region were activated with ZnCI2, HCI and KOH. The adsorption of asset which is carried out has been analysed on active carbon polyhenoloxidase.Studies have been done in different pH (3,4,5,6,7,8,9) and different temperature (20,30,40,50,60,70,80 ºC) degrees. Taking in the account the Lagergren?s first-order equation for adsorption kinetics, q1 and k1 which are the measure of adsorbed assets strength have been carried out.The values of adsorption enthalpy (H), Gibbs free enthalpy (?G) and adsorption enthalpy (?S) of thermodynamics parameters have been calculated. As a result, it has been proved from gathered assets that the best result of adsorption motion was active carbon sample prepared with ZnCI2.
