The Relationship Between Creative Leadership Traits of School Principals and Organizational Intelligence Levels of Schools

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin görüşleri çerçevesinde okul müdürlerinin yaratıcı liderlik özellikleri ile okulların örgütsel zekâ düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Araştırma, nicel araştırma modellerinden ilişkisel tarama modeliyle oluşturulmuş bir betimleme çalışmasıdır. 2018-2019 Eğitim Öğretim yılında Van ili İpekyolu, Tuşba ve Edremit merkez ilçelerinde ortaokul kademesinde görev yapmakta olan öğretmenler araştırma evrenini, evrenden basit seçkisiz yöntemle seçilen 451 öğretmen örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, Erçetin, Potas ve Açıkalın (2015) tarafından geliştirilen Çok Boyutlu Örgütsel Zekâ Ölçeği (ÇBÖZÖ) ve Uçar ve Sağlam (2018) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan Okul Müdürlerinin Yaratıcı Liderlik Özellikleri Ölçeği (OMYLÖÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, yüzdelik değer, t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), korelasyon analizi ve regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda okul müdürlerinin yaratıcı liderlik özelliklerinin ve okulların örgütsel zekâ düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu, okul müdürlerinin yaratıcı liderlik özellikleri ve alt boyutları ile okulların örgütsel zekâ düzeyleri arasında yüksek düzeyde pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu, okul müdürlerinin yaratıcı liderlik özellikleri ve alt boyutlarının birlikte okulların örgütsel zekâ düzeylerinin anlamlı bir yordayıcısı olduğu bulguları elde edilmiştir. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between the creative leadership characteristics of school principals and the organizational intelligence levels of schools within the framework of the opinions of teachers working in secondary schools. The research is a descriptive study created by relational scanning model, one of the quantitative research models. In the 2018-2019 academic year, teachers working at the secondary school level in the central districts of Van, İpekyolu, Tusba and Edremit constitute the research population of 451 teachers selected from the universe with a simple random method. The research data were collected using the Multidimensional Organizational Intelligence Scale developed by Erçetin, Potas, and Açıkalın (2015) and the Creative Leadership Traits Scale of School Principals developed by Uçar and Sağlam (2018). Arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentage value, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation analysis and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. As a result of the study, it was found that the creative leadership characteristics of school principals and the organizational intelligence levels of the schools are high, there is a highly positive and significant relationship between the creative leadership characteristics and sub-dimensions of the school principals and the organizational intelligence levels of the school principals, the creative leadership characteristics and sub-dimensions of the school principals together with the organizational intelligence of the schools.
