Classroom Teachers' Views Pedagogy of Love

Abstract

Bu araştırma, sınıf öğretmenlerinin sevgi pedagojisine yönelik eğilimlerini çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada karma araştırma yöntemi ve eş zamanlı iç içe geçmiş desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel boyutu, basit rastgele örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen ve Van ilinde bulunan 431; nitel boyutu ise maksimum çeşitlilik yöntemiyle belirlenen 12 sınıf öğretmeni ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak 'Sevgi Pedagojisine Yönelik Eğilimler Ölçeği (SPYEÖ)' ve 'Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formu' kullanılmıştır. Toplanan nicel veriler, düzenlenerek SPSS İstatistik Programı aracılığıyla analizleri (t-testi, ANOVA varyans analizi ve Post-hoc Analizi) yapılmıştır. Nitel veriler ise, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu için uzman görüşü ve katılımcılar tarafından anlaşılırlık onayı alındıktan sonra toplanmaya başlanmış olup elde edilen verilerin tema ve alt temaları görüşler doğrultusunda oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmanın nicel bulguları arasında, sınıf öğretmenlerinin sevgi pedagojisine yönelik eğilimleri cinsiyet ve medeni durum değişkenlerine göre anlamlı düzeyde ilişkili çıkmıştır. Çalışmanın nitel bulguları arasında ise, veli, çocukla iletişim, okulun sosyo-ekonomik durumu, akademik başarı ve güler yüz gibi kavramların sevgi pedagojisi alanında önemli oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Nicel ve nitel bulgular bir arada tartışılmış olup, elde edilen bulguların birbirlerini destekleyip desteklemedikleri açıklanarak ilgili literatürle tartışılmıştır.

This research aims to examine classroom teachers' tendencies towards love pedagogy in terms of various variables. Mixed research method and simultaneous nested design were used in the research. The quantitative dimension of the research consists of 431 participants in Van province, determined by simple random sampling method. The qualitative dimension was carried out with 12 classroom teachers determined by the maximum diversity method. 'Tendencies Towards Pedagogy of Love Scale (SPYEÖ)' and 'Semi-Structured Interview Form' were used as data collection tools in the research. The collected quantitative data were organized and analyzed (t-test, ANOVA analysis of variance and Post-hoc Analysis) through the SPSS Statistics Program. Qualitative data started to be collected after receiving expert opinion and comprehensibility approval from the participants for the semi-structured interview form, and the themes and sub-themes of the data obtained were created in line with the opinions. Among the quantitative findings of the study, tendencies towards classroom teachers' love pedagogy were found to be significantly related to gender and marital status variables. Among the qualitative findings of the study, it was determined that concepts such as parent, communication with the child, socio-economic status of the school, academic success and friendliness are important in the field of love pedagogy. Quantitative and qualitative findings were discussed together, and it was explained whether the findings supported each other and discussed with the relevant literature.
