Researh on Domestic Animals on Determining Tick Fauna in Van and Erciş Area

Abstract

Bu araştırma, Nisan 2009-Mart 2010 tarihleri arasında Van ve Erciş yöresinde kene faunasının tespit edilmesi amacıyla Van merkez ve Erciş ilçesinin Ulupamir, Doğancı, Y.Akçagedik, Y. Kozluca, Hasanabdal, Yöreli köylerinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırma merkezlerine her ay düzenli olarak gidilmiş koyunların ve sığırların vücut bölgeleri ve hayvan barınakları dikkatlice araştırılmıştır. Koyunları % 70.77'si, sığırların %37.54'ü kenelerle enfeste bulunmuş ve 2581 adet kene toplanmıştır. Bu türlerden R. bursa 523 (%20.26), R.turanicus 456 (%17.66), R. sanguineus 128 (%4.95), D. marginatus 707 (%27.39), D. niveus 25 (%0.96), H.m. marginatum 13 (%0.50), H.a. anatolicum 10 (%0.36), H.a. excavatum 29 (%1.12), H. eagypticum 14 (%0.54), He. parva 522 (%20.22), He. sulcata 71 (%2.75), He. punctata 72 (%2.78), O. lahorensis 6 (%0.23), A. percisus 5 (%0.19) adet kene toplanmıştır. Rhipicephalus, Dermacentor ve Hemaphysalis türlerinin koyun ve sığırları önemli ölçüde enfeste ettiği, bu türlerden Rhipicephalus'a ilkbahar yaz aylarında, Hemaphysalis türlerine sonbahar kış ve Dermacentor türlerine ise ilkbahar sonbahar ve kış aylarında rastlanmıştır.

This research was carried out between April 2009 ? March 2010 in Ulupamir, Doğancı, Y.Akçagedik, Y. Kozluca, Hasanabdal, Yöreli villages of Erciş district of Van with the aim to determine tick fauna in the Van and Erciş area. Body parts of sheep and cattle, and animal shelters at the research bases have been carefully investigated through regular monthly visits. 70.77% of the sheep and 37.54% of the cattle were found infested with ticks and 2581 ticks were collected. The number and proportion of the species within the collected samples are as follows: R. bursa 523 (20.26%), R.turanicus 456 (17.66%), R. sanguineus 128 (4.95%), D. marginatus 707 (27.39%), D. niveus 25 (0.96%), H.m. marginatum 13 (0.50%), H.a. anatolicum 10 (0.36%), H.a. excavatum 29 (% 1.12), H. eagypticum 14 (% 0.54), He. parva 522 (20,22%), He. sulcata 71 (2.75%), He. punctata 72 (2.78%), O. lahorensis 6 (0.23%), A. percisus 5 (0.19%). It was discovered that sheep and cattle have been greatly infested with the species of Rhipicephalus, Dermacentor and Hemaphysalis, and among these, Rhipicephalus species appeared during spring and summer, Hemaphysalis species appeared during autumn and winter and, Dermacentor species were found in the spring, autumn and winter.
