Collection and Evaluation of Fresh Bean (Phaseolus Vulgaris L.) Germplasm Grown at South of Eastern Anatolia

Abstract

Bu çalışma, 2009 ile 2011 yılları arasında Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi?nin güneyinde (Bitlis, Bingöl, Muş, Malatya, Tunceli, Elazığ, Hakkâri, Van) yetiştiriciliği yapılan taze tüketime uygun fasulye gen kaynaklarının toplanması, morfolojik ve fenolojik özelliklerin belirlenmesi, seleksiyon kritelerine göre taze tüketime uygun çeşit adaylarını tespit edilmesi, tespit edilen çeşit adaylarının ıslah programlarına alınması ve ticari anlamda çiftçiye kazandırılması amaçlanmıştır.Söz konusu illerden 2010 yılında toplanan 378 genotip derlenmiş olup, bu genotiplerden 61 sırık, 27 bodur 2011 yılında tartılı derecelendirme sonucu ümitvar bulunmuştur. 2011 yılında yapılan çalışma sonucunda ise, 30 sırık ve 8 bodur tip ümitvar tipler olarak belirlenmiştir. The study which was carried out in order to collect bean germplasm grown (Bitlis, Bingöl, Muş, Malatya, Tunceli, Elazığ, Hakkâri, Van) at south of Eastern Anatolia and suitable for fresh consumption; to record their morphological and phenological features; and to identify suitable cultivar candidates for fresh consumption by selection criteria between 2009 and 2011. In addition, it was aimed to take the selected candidates in this study into breeding programs and to offer to commercial farmers.The 378 lines were studied in 2010 and total 88 lines, the 61 pole fresh beans and the 27 dwarf fresh beans, were determined. In the second year, as a result of field trials carried out on 88 lines total 38 cultivar candidates, the 30 pole fresh beans and the 8 dwarf fresh beans, were identified (Pole fresh bean cultivar candidates: BT-5, BT-38, BT-73, BT-76, BT-123, BT-124, ML-14, ML-44, ML-50, ML-64, ML-71, VN-1, VN-16, VN-17, VN-19, VN-28, VN-48, VN-49, TN-8, EL-42, HK-20, HK-37, HK-38, HK-51, BN-8, BN-12, BN-23, BN-25, MŞ-24 and MŞ-48; Dwarf fresh bean cultivar candidates: HK-8, HK-18, HK-33, BT-68, ML-20, ML-25, ML-30 and ML-60).In the study, pole bean cultivars 4F-89 and Helinda Gold and dwarf bean cultivars Yalova-5 and Yalova-17 were used as the standard type control varieties.
