Ebu Muzaffer El-i̇sferayini's the System of Categorization of Sects in His Work Called Et-Tabsir Fi'd-din

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Ebu Muzaffer el-İsferâyînî ve et-Tabsîr fi?d-Dîn adlı eserinde mezhepleri tasnif sistemi ele alınmıştır. Ebu Muzaffer el-İsferâyînî?nin hayatı ve eserleri incelendiğinde Ehl-i Sünnet mezhebinin Eş?arî ekolünün önemli savunucularından biri olduğu görülmektedir. et-Tabsîr fi?d-Dîn adlı eserini de Ehl-i Sünnet?in fikirlerini savunmak amacıyla yazdığını eserinin hemen başında ifade etmektedir. Eser incelendiğinde 73 fırka rivayetine göre tasnif edildiği görülmektedir. Sistemli bir eser olan et-Tabsîr?de fırkalar on ana kola ayrıldıktan sonra alt kolları ile birlikte sayı yetmiş üçe tamamlanmaktadır. Ancak mezkûr sayıya ulaşmak için birçok çelişkiye düşülmektedir. Diğer klasik kaynaklarla karşılaştırldığında metod ve tasnif bakımından çağdaşı ve kayınpederi Bağdâdî?nin el fark adlı eseri ile büyük ölçüde benzediğini söylemek mümkündür. Eseri önemli kılan en önemli husus ise bir başlığın diğer din ve inanç sistemlerine ayrılmasıdır.

This paper takes in hand Ebu Muzaffer el-İsferayini?s the system of categorization of sects in his work called et-Tabsir Fi?d-Din. If Ebu Muzaffer el-İsferayini?s life and works are investigated it is found out that he is one of important advocates of Eş?ari school of Ehl-i Sünnet sect. He states just at the begining of his work et-Tabsir Fi?d-Din that he he wrote that work to advocate the ideas of Ehl-i Sünnet. In this work classification is done according to 73 legion hadith trars fer. et-Tabsir Fi?d-Din is a systematic work firstly legions are divided into ten main branches than with sub-branches the number is totally 73. However there are many conflicts on reaching the number mentioned. When compared with classic sources it is possible to say that this work resembles to Bağdadi?s(who is both his coeval and father- in -law) el-Fark in terms of method and categorization. The most important point that makes the work important is that the title is divided into other religion and belief systems.
