Abstract
Bu çalışmada Özel Yetenek Bölümlerinde Eğitimlerini Sürdüren Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Dikkat Eksikliği Hiperaktivite Bozukluğu İle Stres Algılarının Farklı Değişkenlere Göre Araştırılması hedeflenmiştir. Tarama modeli ile yapılan araştırma 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim döneminde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmaya 223 kadın ve 229 erkek olmak üzere toplam 452 birey katılmıştır. Toplanan verilerin analizi SPSS istatistiksel paket programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. İstatistiksel analizde ölçümler, hem Kolmogorov-Simirnov testi hem de Shapiro Wilk testleriyle değerlendirilmiş, değişkenlerin dağılımının normal olmadığı görülmüştür. İki düzeyli değişken karşılaştırılmasında Mann Whitney U testi, ikiden fazla grupların karşılaştırılmasında Kruskall-Wallis H testi kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmada anlamlılık düzeyi p˂0,05 olarak alınmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular değerlendirildiğinde, Anne eğitim durumu DEHB toplam ve alt boyutlarında anlamlı fark bulunmazken p>0,05, stres algısı toplam puan ve alt boyutlarında ise anlamlı fark bulunmuştur p˂0,05. Baba eğitim durumlarında DEHB toplam ve alt boyutlarında anlamlı fark bulunmaktadır p˂0,05. Babası liseden mezunu olan öğrencilerin DEHB toplam ve alt boyutlarında DEHB belirti düzeyleri daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Baba eğitimi durumu stres stres toplam ve rahatsızlık boyutunda anlamlı farklılık bulunurken p˂0,05, stres yetersiz özyeterlik algısı boyutunda ise anlamlı fark bulunamamıştır p˂0,05. Stres toplamda babası okuryazar olmayan bireylerin, stres rahatsızlık boyutunda ise babası lise mezunu olan bireylerin stres algı düzeyleri daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Cinsiyet değişkeni değerlendirildiğinde; kadın ve erkek öğrencilerin DEHB toplam ve alt boyutlarında fark bulunmazken p>0,05, stres toplam ve stres rahatsızlık boyutunda ise anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur p˂0,05. Kadın bireylerin stres algıları daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Stres yetersiz özyeterlik boyutunda ise anlamlı fark bulunamamıştır. Okudukları bölüm değişkeninde DEHB toplam ve alt boyutlarında ve stres rahatsızlık boyutunda anlamlı fark bulunmuştur p˂0,05. Antrenörlük bölümlerinde eğitimlerini sürdüren bireylerin diğer bölümlerde eğitimlerini sürdüren bireylere göre DEHB belirti düzeyleri ve stres rahatsızlık algı düzeyleri daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Sonuç olarak özel yetenek bölümlerinde eğitimlerini sürdüren öğrencilerin stres algıları ve DEHB durumları birçok sosyodemografik özellikten etkilenmektedir. Öğrencilerin DEHB ve stres algılarının azaltılmasına yönelik yapılacak eğitim programlarının hem özel hem de eğitim hayatlarına olumlu katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
This study aimed to investigate the Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder and Stress Perceptions of University Students Continuing their Education in Special Talent Departments according to Different Variables. The research with the scanning model was carried out in the 2020-2021 academic year. A total of 452 individuals, 223 women and 229 men participated in the study. The analysis of the collected data was made using the SPSS statistical package program. The measurements were evaluated with both the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and the Shapiro Wilk test in the statistical analysis. It was observed that the distribution of the variables was not expected. Mann Whitney U test was used for the comparison of two-level variables, and the Kruskal-Wallis H test was used for the comparison of more than two groups. In this study, the level of significance was taken as p˂0.05. When the findings obtained in the study were evaluated, there was no significant difference in the total and sub-dimensions of the mother's education level, ADHD, but p>0.05, while a significant difference was found in the total score and sub-dimensions of the perception of stress p˂0.05. There is a significant difference in the total and sub-dimensions of ADHD in the father's educational status, p˂0.05. The symptom levels of the total and sub-dimensions of ADHD were found to be higher in the students whose fathers graduated from high school. While there was a significant difference in the father's education status, stress, total and discomfort dimensions, p˂0.05, no significant difference was found in the perception of insufficient self-efficacy p˂0.05. In the stress disorder dimension, the stress levels of individuals whose fathers are illiterate in total and those whose fathers are high school graduates were higher. When the gender variable is evaluated; While there was no difference in the ADHD total and sub-dimensions of female and male students, p>0.05, a significant difference was found in the total stress and stress discomfort dimensions p˂0.05. Stress perceptions of female individuals were found to be higher. No significant difference was found in the stress insufficient self-efficacy dimension. A significant difference was found in the total and sub-dimensions of ADHD and the dimension of stress discomfort in the department variable they read p˂0.05. It has been determined that individuals who continue their education in coaching departments have higher ADHD symptom levels and perception of stress discomfort than other individuals. As a result, the stress perceptions and ADHD status of students who continue their education in special talent departments are affected by many sociodemographic characteristics. It is thought that the education programs to be conducted to reduce the ADHD and stress perceptions of the students will contribute positively to both their private and educational lives.
