Synthesis and Spectroscopic Study of the Schiff Base Derived From Pyrimidinethionamine and Pyrimidinethionamine and Some Their Metal Complexes

Abstract
Bu çalışmada, 1-amino-5-benzoil-4-fenil-1H-pirimidin-2-tiyon (L1H) bileşiği ve ondan türetilen yeni üç dişli ligandlar (L2H, L3H, L4H) sentezlenmiştir. Bu ligandların Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Pd(II), Pt(II), Mn(II) metal tuzlarıyla oktahedral yapıda [M(L2)2]?nH2O, [M(L3)2]?nH2O, [M(L4)2] ve [M(L4)2]?nH2O, karedüzlem yapıda [M(L1)2], [M(L1)2]?nH2O, [M(L2)2]?H2O, [M(L2)]Cl2 ve [M(L4)2]?nH2O, trigonalbipiramit yapıda [Cu2(L3)2(CH3COO)2] ve [Cu2(L4)2(CH3COO)2], tetrahedral yapıda [Cd(L3)(CH3COO)]?H2O genel formüllerinde kompleksleri sentezlenmiştir. Yeni sentezlenen ligandların yapıları element analizi, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, LC-MS, UV-Vis gibi spektral tekniklerle belirlenmiştir. Komplekslerin yapılarının belirlenmesinde de bahsedilen spektral tekniklerin yanında molar iletkenlik ve magnetik moment ölçümleri tekniklerinden de yararlanılmıştır.Diğer taraftan sentezi gerçekleştirilen tüm bileşiklerin mikrodilüsyon metoduyla antibakteriyel ve antifungal incelemeleri yapılmış olup komplekslerin aktiviteleri ligandlara göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur.
In this study, 1-amino-5-benzoyl-4-phenyl-1Hpyrimidin-2-thione (L1H) and a new tridentate compounds (L2H, L3H, L4H) derived 1-amino-5-benzoyl-4-phenyl-1Hpyrimidin-2- thione were synthesized as a ligand. The complexes of these ligands were synthesized with metal salts of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Pd(II), Pt(II), Mn(II) in the general formula of [M(L2)2]?nH2O, [M(L3)2]?nH2O, [M(L4)2] and [M(L4)2]?nH2O complexes were in the octahedral structure, [M(L1)2], [M(L1)2]?nH2O, [M(L2)2]?H2O, [M(L2)]Cl2 and [M(L4)2]?nH2O complexes were in the structure of square plane, [Cu2(L3)2(CH3COO)2] and [Cu2(L4)2(CH3COO)2] complexes were in the structure of trigonal bypiramidal, Cd(L3)(CH3COO)]?H2O complex was in the tetrahedral structure. The structure of the newly synthesized ligands were determined with elemental analysis and spectral techniques such as IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, LC-MS, UV-Vis. In order to determine the spectral techniques above-mentioned molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility measurements were used.On the other hand, the investigation of antibacterial and antifungal activities of these compounds with microdilition method were made and it was found that the activities of complexes were higher than that of the ligands.
