Abstract
Dünyanın en ileri derecede yer alan problemlerinden biri enerjidir. Enerji problemi insanlığın geleceğini ve hayat biçimini önemli ölçüde etkilediğinden ve uluslar arası savaşlara ve yakınlaşmalara neden olduğundan enerji araştırmaları çok büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Bu teknolojilerin yenilenebilir, çevreye en az zararlı olanları, ucuz olanları tercih edilmektedir. Biokütleden enerji elde etme teknolojileri hem çevreye zarar vermemeleri ve hem de hammadde kaynaklarının ucuz ve bol olması bakımından daha çok tercih edilmektedir.Yosunlar hızlı büyüyen, çevre koşullarına kolaylıkla uyum sağlayan geniş bir alana yayılan önemli bir türdür. Hızlı büyümeleri ve her ortamda yetişebilmeleri bir çok yönden önemeli bir hammadde olarak ele alınmaktadır. Su yosunları, protein, vitamin ve bazı türlerinin yüksek oranlarda yağ içermesinden dolayı gıda teknolojisinde önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bazı türlerinde yüksek oranlarda yağ bulunması enerji teknolojisinde biyokütle hammaddesi olarak ele alınmakta ve biyodizel eldesinde kullanılmaktadır.
Energy is one of the most important problems of the world. Since energy problem affects the future of humanity and its lifestyle significantly and also causes international wars and convergences, energy researches have very great significance. Of these technologies, renewable, environmentally least harmful and cheap ones are preferred. Biomass energy technologies are more preferred as they are not harmful to the environment. Also the raw material resources of biomass technologies are cheap and abundant.Algae is an important species that grows fast, spread over a wide area and easily adapts to environmental conditions. As its rapid growth and catch up in any environment algea is considered as an important raw material in many ways. Since algea contain proteins, vitamins and some species have high amounts of fat, it has an important role in food technology. As some species contain high amounts of fat, it is considered as a raw material in energy techologies and used to produce biodiesel.
