An Experimental Comparative Study Using Gambee and Modified Gambee Sutures of Small Intestinal Anastomoses and Enterectomies in Rabbits and Dogs

Abstract

Çalısmanın amacı, barsak lezyonlarında alternatif bir yöntem olarak Gambee ve Modifiye Gambee dikisinin avantaj ve dezavantajlarını ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalısma değisik yas, kilo ve cinsiyette toplam on iki köpek ile on Yeni Zelanda tavsanı üzerinde gerçeklestirildi. Olgular xylazine premedikasyonundan sonra, ketamine 20 mg/kg (köpek), 40 mg/kg (tavsan) dozunda im uygulandı. Köpeklere operasyondan yirmi gün önce ivermectine 1 ml, sc enjekte edildi. Enteretomi ve enterektomiden sonra her iki dikis yöntemi de uygulandı. Sonuç olarak küçük hayvanlarda Gambee ve Modifiye Gambee dikisinin sızıntı, barsak çapında daralma ve yapısmaya neden olmadığı anlasıldı. Çalısma sırasında köpeklerden biri kanlı ishal sonucu öldü. The aim of the study was to determine the advantages and disadvantages of Gambee and Modified Gambee knitting as an alternative method in bowl lesions. This study was carried on 12 dogs and 10 New Zealand rabbits of different ages, sexes and weights. After xylasine premedication, the catemine dogs were treated with 20 mg/kg i.m and rabbits with 40 mg/kg i.m. Ivermectine (1 ml) was applied to dogs twenty days before operation. After enteretomy and enterektomy both knitting were applied. It was seen that Gambee and Modified Gambee kniting did not cause leaking, narrowing and sticking in the bowl. One of the dogs died as a result of diarrhea. Key words: Gambee and Modified Gambee Suture
