The Qasidas Presented for Shaikh Al-Islams in the Classical Turkish Poetry

Abstract

Divan edebiyatında kaside sunma geleneği, bu edebiyatın ilk dönemlerinden itibaren görülmektedir. Şairlerin bir kişiyi övmek, yermek veya ondan himaye ummak gibi vesilelerle çeşitli devlet adamlarına sundukları kasideler belli bir maksatla kaleme alınmışlardır. Hemen her şairin divanında yer alan kasideler, divan şiirindeki şair-patron ilişkisini göstermesi bakımından da önem arz etmektedir. Belirli formlarda yazılan kasidelerde genel olarak tasvir mahiyetinde yazılan giriş bölümünün ardından medhedilecek şahsiyetin iyi vasıfları, güzel meziyetleri sıralanır ve aynı zamanda medhedilen şahsiyetle ilgili bir prototip oluşturulur. Bu bölümlerin ardından bazı kasidelerde fahriye ve tegazzül denilen bölümler de yer alır. Bu bölümlerden sonra da övülen kişiye dua edilen kısma geçilir. Burada da övülen kişinin vasıflarından bahsedilir. Kasidenin sunulduğu kişinin çoğu özellikleri, benzetildiği olağanüstü ve mitolojik varlık ve şahsiyetler, hayatı boyunca yaptığı iyi ve güzel işlerden hareketle o şahsiyetin divan şiirinde nasıl algılandığı ortaya konulur. Çalışmamızda, kaside ve kaside sunma geleneği, Osmanlı'da şeyhülislâmlık kurumu hakkında bilgi verilmiş şeyhülislâmlar tanıtılmıştır. Divan edebiyatında şeyhülislâmlara sunulan kasidelerden hareketle onların divan şairlerince nasıl algılandığının ve nasıl bir şeyhülislâm profilinin oluşturulduğunun ortaya konması amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca ele alınan şiirler şekil ve içerik bakımından incelenmiştir.

The tradition of presenting ode in Divan Literature is seen from the first periods of this literature. The poems which the poets offer to various statesmen on occasions such as praising, crushing or patronizing a person have been written for a certain purpose. Qasıdas in almost every poet's divan are important in terms of showing the relationship between poet and patronage in divan poetry. In the qasıdas written in certain forms, a section like the depiction of nature, followed by the entrance section, the good qualities of the person to be praised, their beautiful virtues are listed and at the same time a prototype is created about the person to be praised. Following these chapters, some poems include 'fahriye' and 'tegazzül'. After these sections, the praised person takes the prayer section. This section also mentions the qualities of the praised person. Most of the characteristics of the person in which he is presented, the extraordinary and mythological beings and personalities, in which he likens, are revealed from the good and beautiful works he has done throughout his life and how he is perceived in divan poetry. In this thesis, it is aimed to introduce poet sheikhulislams by giving information about Sheikh al-Islams and qasıda presentation tradition and the institution of shaykhulism in Ottoman. The aim of the course is to show how the poets of the divan were perceived by the poets presented to the Shaykh al-Islams and how to create a profile. In addition, it is planned to examine the poems discussed in terms of form and content.
