Fruit Characteristics of Native Rose Hip (Rosa Spp.) Grown in Muradiye (Van) District

Abstract

Bu araştırmada Van'ın Muradiye yöresinde doğal olarak yetişen kuşburnu populasyonları içerisinden ümitvar genotiplerin seçilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada doğal kuşburnu populasyonları içerisinden 80 kuşburnu genotipi değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Yapılan değerlendirmeler sonucunda meyve ve bitki özellikleri esas alınarak genotip sayısı 50 ye indirgenmiştir. Bu genotiplerde meyve ağırlığı 1.82-4.09 g, meyve boyu 20.68-27.34 mm, meyve eni 12.97-15.74 mm, meyve eti oranı % 55.22-85.01, SÇKM oranı % 15.00-26.20, C vitamini içeriği 406.10-993.06 mg/100g, toplam kuru madde miktarı % 42.98-55.88, titre edilebilir asit miktarı % 1.38-3.50, ve pH değeri 3.56-4.20 arasında saptanmıştır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda 8 genotip (MRS01, MRS20, MRS32, MRS37, MRS42, MRS47, MRS50 ve MRS75) ümitvar olarak değerlendirilmitir.Anahtar kelimeler: Bitki, Kuşburnu, Meyve, Muradiye, Van

This study aimed to determine promising genotypes of rose hips grown wild in the centre and the villages of Muradiye district of Van. In the native rosa hip population, 80 genotypes of Rosa hip were investigated. The number of genotype was reduced to 50 taking into consideration the plant and fruit characteristics. These genotypes had a range of 1.82-4.09 g, for fruit weight, 20.68-27.34 mm, for fruit length, 12.97-15.74 mm, for fruit width, 55.22-85.01 %, for fruit flesh ratio, 15.00-26.20 %, for soluble solids, 406.10-993.06 mg/100g, for Vitamin C, 42.98-55.88 %, for total dry matter, 1.38-3.50 %, for acidity, 3.56-4.20, for pH. As a result the eight genotypes (MRS01, MRS20, MRS32, MRS37, MRS42, MRS47, MRS50 and MRS75) were evaluated promising.Key words: Fruit, Muradiye, Plants, Rose hip, Van
