Investigation of the Performance of Some Domestic and Foreign Standard Walnut Varieties Growed in Van (edremit) Region

Abstract

Bu çalışma Van ili Edremit ilçesinde farklı yerli ve yabancı ceviz çeşitleriyle kurulmuş olan üretici bahçesinde yürütülmüştür. Çalışmamızda meyve bahçesinde bulunan çeşitlerin fenolojik ve morfolojik özelliklerinin yanında çeşitli meyve özellikleri (kabuklu meyve ağırlığı, İç meyve ağırlığı, iç oranı (% randıman), kabuk kalınlığı, iç rengi, meyve içinin bütün çıkma durumu, vb.) UPOV kriterlerine göre değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca bu çeşitler antraknoz, don zararı ve meyve iç kurduna toleransları da takip edilmiştir. Bu özellikler değerlendirildiğinde Kaman-1 ve Fernor çeşitlerinin Van ili Edremit yöresi ekolojik koşullarında Kaman5, Ronde ve Chandler çeşitlerden daha iyi performans gösterdikleri tespit edilmiştir.

This study was carried out in the grower orchard established with different domestic and foreign walnut varieties in Edremit district of Van province. this research, in addition to the phenological and morphological characteristics of the varieties in the fruit orchard were evaluated various fruit characteristics (Shelled fruit weight, kernel weight, kernel ratio (% kernel), thickness shell, kernel intensity of color, nut structure of surface, etc.) were evaluated according to UPOV criteria. In addition, these varieties were monitored for their tolerance to anthracnose, frost damage and fruit bollworm. When these characteristics were evaluated, it was determined that Kaman-1 and Fernor varieties performed better than Kaman-5, Ronde and Chandler varieties in the ecological conditions of Edremit region of Van province.
