Examination of Occupational Health and Safety Awareness of Workers Working in Constructions in Van Province

Abstract

İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği dünyada insan yaşam konforu konusunda önemli bir yerde durmaktadır. Özellikle inşaat sektöründe işçi eğitimi çok önemli bir konudur. Çünkü bireylere iş sağlığı ve güvenliği bilinci düzgün bir şekilde verilmediği zaman istenen verim alınamaz. Ayrıca iş kazaları incelendiği zaman bu kazaların büyük çoğunluğunun inşaat sektöründe meydana geldiği görülebilmektedir. Bu da bizlere inşaat sektöründe çalışan işçilere gerekli eğitimlerin, koruma araçlarının verilmediğini veya sağlanmadığını gösterir. Bizim bu tezdeki amacımız inşaat sektöründeki işçi ve çalışanlarla görüşerek İş Sağlığı ve güvenliği bilincinin ne durumda olduğu ve bunun nasıl daha iyi bir konuma getirilebileceğini araştırmak olacaktır. Daha önceden yapılan çalışmalar incelendiğinde Van İli için bu konuda bir çalışma yapılmadığı görülmüştür. Bu tez yazılırken inşaatlarda çalışan işçilere anket yapılarak elde edilen sonuçlar değerlendirilecek ve anket sonuçlarına göre çıkarılabilecek bulgular tezimize konulacaktır.

Occupational Health and Safety has an important place in the world in terms of human life comfort as it stands. Worker training is a very important issue, especially in the construction industry. Because when occupational health and safety awareness are not given properly to individuals , the desired efficiency cannot be obtained. In addition, when occupational accidents are examined, it can be seen that the majority of these accidents occur in the construction sector. This shows us that the workers working in the construction sector are not granted or provided with the necessary training and protection equipment. Our aim in this thesis will be to interview workers and employees in the construction industry to investigate the state of occupational health and safety awareness and how it can be brought to a better position. When the previous studies were examined, it was seen that there was no such study on this subject for the Province of Van. While this thesis is being written, the results obtained by surveying the workers working in the construction will be evaluated and the findings that can be derived from the survey results will be put into our thesis.
