Abstract
Bu çalışma, Van ili Saray ilçesindeki kaymakamlığa bağlı elma bahçesinde iki farklı elma çeşidinde beslenme durumunu incelemek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Starking Delicious ve Golden Delicious elma çeşitlerinden toplam 50 ağaç denemeye alınarak, yaprak besin elementi analizleri yapılmıştır. Deneme alanı topraklarında fiziksel ve kimyasal analizler yapılarak, toprak ve bitkinin besin elementi yeterlilik düzeyleri belirlenmiştir. Toprak analiz sonuçlarına göre, deneme alanı toprağının kumlu-killi bünyeli, alkalin reaksiyonlu, orta düzeyde kireçli ve değişebilir Ca ile DTPA ile ekstrakte edilebilir Mn içeriği bakımından zengin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Deneme alanı toprağında N, P, K, Mg, Fe ve Cu içerikleri yeterli, Zn içeriği ise düşük düzeyde bulunmuştur. Yaprak analiz sonuçlarına göre bitkide genel olarak Zn ve Cu içeriklerinin yetersiz; N, P, K, Ca, Mg, Fe ve Mn miktarlarının yeterli düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yaprak besin elementi içerikleriyle ağaçların morfolojik özellikleri arasında yapılan istatistikî incelemede, yaprak K' sı ile taç genişliği ve sürgün boyu arasında önemli korelasyonlar bulunmuştur. Elde edilen sonuçlar dikkate alındığında, çinkolu gübreleme ile elma ağaçlarında verim ve gelişmeyi arttırmanın mümkün olabileceği düşünülmektedir.
This study was conducted to determine nutrition status of two apple varieties in Saray district of Van province apple orchard. The 50 trees of Starking Delicious and Golden Delicious varieties were used in this research. Leaf nutrient contents of two apple cultivars were analysed. Sufficient levels of nutrients and productivity of soil and apple trees were determined. According to results of physical and chemical analysis of soil, research area had sandy-clay texture, alkaline pH, moderately lime and high exchangeable Ca and DTPA extractable Mn. N, P, K, Mg, Fe and Cu levels on research field were found sufficient. On the other hand, DTPA extractable Zn level were found low. Plant analysis results showed that in general Zn and Cu levels were insufficient; the amounts of N, P, K, Ca and Mn were sufficient. Correlations between leaf potassium contents and tree crown width and shooth growth was statistically important. According these results, yield and growth of apple trees can be increased with zinc fertilization.
