The Outcast in Mehmet Eroğlu's Novels

Abstract

Yeni Türk Edebiyatı alanında birçok yazarın romanı şahıs kadrosu açısındanbilimsel olarak ele alınmış ve incelenmiştir. Fakat ?tutunamayan kahramanlar?hakkında yapılan bilimsel çalışmalar oldukça azdır. Bu sebeple Mehmet Eroğlu'nunromanlarını ?tutunamayan kahramanlar? açısından incelemeyi uygun gördük. ÇünküEroğlu, 1968'den günümüze toplumumuzun genel gidişatını yenilenler, ezilenler,dışlananlar ve öteki olarak kabul edilen kesimleri ya da insanları romanlarınınmerkezine alarak anlatmaya çalışmış bir yazardır. Bu çalışmamız; Türkiye'nin son30 yıllık sürecindeki ?tutunamayan? kesimleri ve bireyleri genel hatlarıyla belirmeyiamaçlamaktadır.Çalışmamızda ?tutunamayan kahramanların? Dünya ve Türk Edebiyatı'ndakigelişim sürecini kronolojik bir perspektifle ele aldıktan sonra; Mehmet Eroğlu'nunhayatı ve sanatı kısaca verilmiştir. Daha sonra Eroğlu'nun romanları, ?tutunamayankahramanlar? çerçevesinde yayınlanış sırasıyla incelenmiştir. Bununla beraber herromanın kısa bir özetine de çalışmamız içerisinde yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca tezimizinasıl konusunu teşkil etmesi bakımından romanlarda ?tutunamayan kahramanların?,?tutunamama? nedenleri arasındaki sosyal, psikolojik, siyasi ve bireysel farklılıklarortaya konulmuştur.Çalışmamızın neticesinde ise elde edilen bulgu ve görüşlerimizi genelhükümler şeklinde ortaya koyarak, Mehmet Eroğlu'nun romanlarında yer alan?tutunamayan kahramanların? özellikleri verilmiştir.Çalışmamızın, bu alanda daha sonra yapılacak bilimsel ve edebi çalışmalarakaynak teşkil edeceğine, ayrıca bilim ve edebiyat dünyasına katkıda bulunacağınainanıyoruz.

In the area of Turkish literature, novels of the most of the authors are viewedscientifically and analized in the side of the heroes list. But there is so few scientificstudies about the outcast heroes/heroines of these novels. So, we saw it approppriateto search the novels of Mehmet Eroğlu from the point of view of outcastheroes/heroines.Because Eroğlu is an author classifying the people from 1968 up tonow as being defeated, bruised, isolated and the other or taking these people to thecentre of his novels. Such kind of a study aims to give general occurance of Turkey?sthe last 30 years people and regions.After pointing out the developing period of the outcast heroes/heroines areboth and Turkish Literatures in our study, the life and art of Mehmet Eroğlu is givenbriefly. Then, the novels of Mehmet Eroğlu are published in the circle of the outcastcharecters and they were analized. However, a brief summary of every novel is givenin our study. Also, being the main subject of our thesis; the social, psychological,political and individual difference which are the reasons of why the outcast heroesare outcast, are given in our thesis.As a consequence; our study, putting out our results as general judgement, themain features of outcast in Mehmet Eroğlu?s novels.We believe that, our study will serve as a source to the successivestudies and also will gain profit to both the world of science and literature.
