Scrutiny of Street Landscapes From the Perspectıve of Sustainable Planning and Design Approaches

Abstract

Transport, is one of the people’s basic needs, through land, sea, and air provided. The most common of these is road transportation. Highways, urban space As it shapes, it also determines the direction of cities’ development. Inland roads are the first related to that city impressions are important areas that reflect the quality of urban space. Highways in modern- day conditions are supported by herbal designs in terms of safety, traffic control, and aesthetic perception. Especially big While cities demonstrate the necessary sensitivity to this issue, in small and medium- sized cities these theories are in practice can’t find enough space. Street landscapes are one of the landscape design works that should be considered at every stage of transportation. In this study, made in this context, the issues to be considered in the landscaping of the roads are discussed in the example of different street landscapes. In particular, the points to be considered in the planting of these areas are interpreted with different examples.
