Religious and Sufistic Elements in the Stories of Cemal Şakar

Abstract

İnsanoğlu, yaratıldığı tarihten beri fıtratı gereği inanma gereksinimi duymuştur. Bu gereksinim sonucunda insanlar başlangıçta kendilerinden daha üstün olan varlıklara, ay, güneş gibi gök cisimlerine, putlara, ateşe tapınmışlardır. Bununla birlikte Tanrı'nın kendi varlığını peygamberlere vahiy yoluyla bildirdiğine inanılan dört ilahi din ve bu dinlerin kutsal kitaplarının öğretileri insanların dini yaşamlarında önemli bir yer edinmiştir. Bu dört ilahi dinden biri olan İslamiyet ile birlikte bu dinin öğretilerinin hayata geçirilme şekli tasavvuf ilmini doğurmuştur. Tasavvuf, diğer ilimlerin aksine ameli bir ilimdir, dolayısıyla onu tam anlamıyla idrak edebilmek için bizzat tecrübe etmek gerekir. Tasavvufta nefsve kalp terbiyesi esas maksattır. Bu terbiye ile birlikte çıkılan manevi yolculukta kişi, kalbini her türlü kötülükten arındırır. Din ve tasavvufun insan yaşamında bu kadar önem arz etmesi bu temaların edebiyatta da yoğun bir şekilde kendisine yer bulmasını sağlamıştır. Türk edebiyatında birçok sanatçı tasavvufa yönelmiş ve tasavvuf içerikli eserler kaleme almıştır. Cemal Şakar da öykülerinde din ve tasavvuf temalarını işleyen yazarlardandır. Bu çalışmada Türk edebiyatında daha çok öyküleriyle öne çıkan Cemal Şakar'ın eserlerindeki dini ve tasavvufi unsurlar çeşitli yönlerden ele alınmıştır. Çalışma, üç ana başlıkta incelenmiş olup, birinci bölümde yazarın hayatı, eserleri ve edebi kişiliğine yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde din ile birlikte tasavvuf ilmi, bu ilmin ortaya çıkışı ve özellikleri ele alınmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise Cemal Şakar'ın öykülerindeki dini ve tasavvufi unsurlar söz konusu eserlerdeki metforların taşıdıkları anlamlar doğrultusunda ele alınacaktır.

Mankind has felt the need to believe by nature since the day it was created. As a result of this need, people initially worshiped beings superior to themselves, celestial bodies such as the moon and sun, idols and fire. However, the four divine religions and the teachings of the holy books of these religions, which are believed to have revealed God's own existence to the prophets, have taken an important place in people's religious lives. Along with Islam, which is one of these four divine religions, the way the teachings of this religion were put into practice gave birth to the science of Sufism. Unlike other sciences, Sufism is a practical science, so it is necessary to experience it yourself in order to fully understand it. In Sufism, training of the soul and heart is the main purpose. In the spiritual journey embarked on with this upbringing, the person purifies his heart from all kinds of evil. The importance of religion and mysticism in human life has enabled these themes to find an intense place in literature. Many artists in Turkish literature turned to Sufism and wrote works with Sufi content. Cemal Şakar is also one of the writers who deal with the themes of religion and mysticism in his stories. In this study, the religious and mystical elements in the works of Cemal Şakar, who is more prominent with his stories in Turkish literature, are discussed from various aspects. The study has been examined under three main titles, and in the first part, the author's life, works and literary personality are included. In the second part, the science of Sufism, the emergence of this science and its characteristics are discussed together with religion. In the third part, religious and mystical elements in Cemal Şakar's stories will be discussed in line with the meanings of the metaphors in these works.
