Analysis of Science Teacher Training Programs, Teacher Qualifications From Past To Present and Determination of the Teacher Profile Desired by the Parents

Abstract

Öğretmen yetiştirme programları geçmişten günümüze toplumların ve ülkelerin üzerinde önemle durduğu konuların en başında gelmektedir. Çünkü gelecekte toplumları peşinden sürükleyip götürecek olan öğretmenleri yetiştirecek olan programlardır. Bunun farkında olan toplumlar öğretmen yetiştirmenin ne kadar önemli olduğunu bilmektedir. Uzmanlar, toplumun temel dinamiklerinin ve sahip olduğu değerlerin bilincinde olacak öğretmen yetiştirme programları geliştirirler. Çünkü bir toplumun her yönüyle gelişmesi, ülkeler yarışında bende varım diyebilmesi ve toplumun değerlerinin gelecek nesillere aktarılması öğretmen vasıtasıyla olacaktır. Bu açıdan; bu niteliğe sahip öğretmenler ve onları yetiştirecek olan programlar önem arz etmektedir. Bu nedenle ülkemizde öğretmen programlarını hazırlamaktan sorumlu olan birimlerin, kültürel temel dinamiklere, her bölgenin kendisine ait bazı değerlerine öğretmen yetiştirme programlarında yer vermesi elzemdir. Çünkü öğretmenler sadece bir bölgeyi ya da bir kesimi temsil etmiyor, sadece belirli bölgede de görev yapmıyorlar. Öğretmenler yaşayan tüm fertlerin yetiştirilmesinde sorumluluk alması gereken bireylerdir. Bu açıdan araştırma, geçmişten günümüze fen bilimleri öğretmeni yetiştirme programları, yetiştirilmesi gereken öğretmenlerin niteliklerinin ne olduğunu tespit ve analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntem ve teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Bu nedenle geçmişten günümüze öğretmen yetiştirme, öğretmen adaylarının eğitim fakültelerine giriş ve kabul şartlarını konu alan yayımlanmış makale, araştırma, belge ve dokümanların analizi yapılmıştır. Bu açıdan genel olarak ikincil verilerden yararlanılmıştır. Bu belgeler (dokümanlar) araştırmalar tasnif edilerek analize tabi tutulmuştur. Ayrıca emekli öğretmenlere ve velilere yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat formu uygulanarak veriler elde toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler gerekli analizler yapıldıktan sonra bulgular bölümünde sunulmuştur. Teacher training programs are at the forefront of the issues that societies and countries emphasize from past to present. Because in the future, it is the programs that will train the teachers that will drag the societies after them. Societies that are aware of this know how important it is to train teachers. ‎Experts develop teacher training programs that will be aware of the basic dynamics and values of the society. Because the development of a society in all aspects, the ability to say that I am in the race of countries, and the transfer of the values of the society to the next generations will be through the teacher. From this point; Teachers with this qualification and the programs that will train them are important. For this reason, it is essential that the units responsible for preparing teacher programs in our country include cultural basic dynamics and some values of each region in their teacher training programs. Because teachers do not only represent a region or a segment, they do not only work in a certain region. Teachers are individuals who should take responsibility for the upbringing of all living individuals. In this respect, the research aims to identify and analyze science teacher training programs from past to present and the qualifications of teachers who need to be trained. Qualitative research methods and techniques were used in the research. For this reason, published articles, researches, documents and documents on teacher training from the past to the present, entry and admission requirements of teacher candidates to education faculties have been analyzed. In this respect, secondary data were generally used. These documents ‎‎(documents) were analyzed by classifying the researches. In addition, data were collected by applying a semi-structured interview form to retired teachers and parents. The collected data is presented in the findings section after the necessary analysis.
