The in Jale Sancak's Stories

Abstract

Türk edebiyatının yaşayan kadın yazarlarından Jale Sancak'ın öykü, roman, söyleşi ve antoloji olmak üzere yirmiye yakın eseri vardır. Sahnelenen birçok tiyatrosu da olan yazar Varlık dergisinde özellikle öykü üzerine yazılar kaleme almaya devam etmektedir. Ancak çalışmamızın kapsamı gereği yazarın sadece öyküleri incelendi. Jale Sancak öykülerinde; yalnız, mutsuz, çıkışsız, toplum tarafından baskıya, değişime maruz kalan ve olağanüstü durumlar aracılığıyla içinde bulunduğu olumsuzluklardan uzaklaşmaya çalışan bireyin hikâyesini anlatır. Bireyi temele alan yazar, modern anlatım ve tekniğin gücünü kullanarak bireysel konular aracılığıyla kadın, erkek ve insan ilişkileri, yoksulluk, cinsel istismar, göç, kent ve kentleşme gibi birçok toplumsal konuya temas eder. Çalışmada 1980 sonrası Türk öykücülüğünün çağdaş yazarlarından olan Jale Sancak'ın öyküleri içerik açısından incelendi. Öyküler öne çıkan konulara göre sınıflandırılıp bireysel ve toplumsal başlıkları altında analiz edildi. Böylece Jale Sancak'ın öykücülüğünde bireysel ve toplumsal unsurların etkili olduğu ortaya kondu.

Jale Sancak, one of the living female writers of Turkish literature, has nearly twenty works including short stories, novels, interviews and anthologies. The author, who also has many staged theatres, continues to write articles especially on the story in Varlık magazine. However, only her stories were examined within the scope of our study. In her stories, Jale Sancak tells the story of an individual who is lonely, unhappy, exitless (with no exit), who is subjected to change and pressure by the society and who tries to get away by way of extraordinary situations from the negativities that he / she is in. The author that based on the individual, speaks of many social issues such as women, men and human relations, poverty, sexual abuse, migration, urban and urbanization through individual issues, using the power of modern expression and technique. In the study, the stories of Jale Sancak, one of the contemporary writers of Turkish storytelling after 1980, were examined in terms of theme . Stories according to the prominent topics were analyzed under the headings of individual, social and fantastic. Thus, it was revealed that individual, social and fantastic elements were effective in Jale Sancak's storytelling.
