Abstract
Bu çalışmada Bilgisayarlı Tomografi ile Norduz koyunun cranium' unda bazı yapıların morfometrik ölçülmesi amaçlandı. Çalışmada Norduz koyununa ait 6 dişi ve 6 erkek olmak üzere 12 cranium' un morfometrik ölçümleri incelendi. Erkek-dişi Norduz koyunu craniumlarının bazı bölgelerinden morfometrik ölçümler alındı. Elde edilen veriler cinsiyet ve türler arası varyasyon ve kolerasyon ilişkileri incelendi. D4 ölçüm parametresi olan Nazal kemik uzunluğu p=0.048 olasılık değeri ile p<0.05 erkek yönlü pozitif bir farklılık saptanırken, L1 ölçüm parametresi olan neurocranium' un uzunluğu p=0.042 olasılık değeri ile p<0.05 dişi yönlü pozitif farklılık saptanmıştır. Ayrıca L3 ölçüm parametresi olan orbitanın en büyük iç genişliği p=0.046 olasılık değeri ile p<0.05 erkek yönlü pozitif farlılık saptanmıştır. Başka bir ölçüm parametresi olan L7 meatus acusıcus externus' un caudal uzunluğu p=0.044 olasılık değeri ile p<0.05 dişi yönlü pozitif farklılık saptanmıştır. L10 ölçüm parametresi olan nasointermaxillare ile prosthion arasında kalan mesafenin ölçülmesinde p=0.046 istatiksel değeri olarak p<0.05 erkek yönlü pozitif farklılık ortaya çıkmaktadır. Ayrıca O1 ölçüm parametresi olan en büyük mastoid genişlik p=0.020 istatik değeri ile p<0.05 erkek yönlü pozitif anlamlılık ortaya çıkmıştır. O4 ölçüm parametresi olan foramen magnum' un en büyük genişliği p=0.036 olasılık değeri ile p<0.05 erkek yönlü pozitif farklılık ortaya çıkmaktadır. Son olarak O6 ölçüm parametresi olan protubertina occipitalis externa yüksekliği p=0.005 istatiksel olarak p<0,05 olasılık değeri ile erkek yönlü pozitif farklılıklar ortaya çıkmıştır. Sonuç olarak; çalışmanın Van Norduz koyununda iskelet sistemi ile ilgili anatomi eğitimi başta olmak üzere cerrahi ve klinik uygulama alanlarında veteriner hekimlere ve eğitim alan öğrencilere faydalı olabileceği kanısında varılmıştır. Ayrıca bu çalışmanın Van Norduz koyunlarının anatomik özelliklerinin ortaya koyulması ile ilgili yapılacak olan bilimsel çalışmalara önemli katkılar sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Bilgisayarlı Tomografi ile alınan bu ölçümlerin veteriner anatomide kullanılan geleneksel ölçüm metodlarının yerine daha güvenli olarak alınabileceği ve daha hızlı kullanılabileceği kanaatindeyiz.
The main aim of this study is to make morphometric measurements of some structures in the cranium of Norduz sheep by Computerized Tomography. Throughout the study, the morphometric measurements of 12 cranium of Norduz sheep consisting of 6 female and 6 male ones were analysed. Morphometric measurements were taken from certain parts of the male and female Norduz sheep craniums. The acquired data was analysed in view of the variation and collinearity between sexes and species. The length of the nasal bone, which was D4 measurement parameter, was found to be positively male-oriented with a probability value of p=0.048 and p<;0.05, while the length of the neurocranium, which was L1 measurement parameter, was found to be positively female-oriented with a probability value of p=0.042 and <0.05. Moreover, the largest internal width of the orbit, which was the L3 measurement parameter, was determined as positively different from the male direction with a probability value of p=0.046 and p<0.05. The caudal length of another measurement parameter L7's meatus acusicus externus was determined as positively different between females with a probability value of p=0.044 and p<0.05. In the measurement of the distance between the nasointermaxillare, which is the L10 measurement parameter, and the prosthion, there exists a positive male difference with a statistical value of p=0.046, p<0.05. In addition, the largest mastoid width, which is the measurement parameter O1, has a statistical value of p=0.020 with a positive male directional difference of p<0.05. The greatest width of the foramen magnum, which is the O4 measurement parameter, has a probability value of p=0.036 and a positive male directional difference of <0.05. Finally, the height of the protuberance occipitalis externa, which is the O6 measurement parameter, was determined as p=0.005 statistically with a probability value of p<0.05 showing a positive difference in the male direction.As a matter of fact, it was concluded that this study would be useful for veterinarians and the students in the fields of surgical and clinical applications, especially in anatomy education related to the skeletal system in Van Norduz sheep. Furthermore, it is assumed that this study will provide important contributions to the scientific studies to be carried out on the anatomical features of Van Norduz sheep. We believe that these measurements taken with Computerized Tomography can be used more safely and faster instead of conventional measurement methods used in veterinary anatomy.
