Risk Assessment Study Through Fine Kinney Method in a University Hospital Dermatology and Ear Nose and Throat (ent) Service

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, ülkemizde bulunan bir üniversite hastanesinin dermatoloji ve KBB servislerinde Fine Kinney risk değerlendirme yöntemi kullanılarak bir risk değerlendirme alan çalışması yapılmıştır. KBB servisinde 72, dermatoloji servisinde ise 70 olmak üzere, toplamda 142 adet risk tespit edilmiştir. İki serviste de tespit edilen risklerin bir kısmı benzer olup, birbirinden farklı riskler de tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada kullanılan Fine Kinney risk değerlendirme yöntemiyle derecelendirilen risklerin niceliksel ve anlamlı sonuçlar ortaya koyması, yöntemin ülkemizde üretim sektöründe yaygın olarak kullanıldığı gibi sağlık kuruluşlarında da aktif olarak kullanılabileceğini göstermiştir. Çalışmada, KBB servisinde tespit edilen bazı risklerin dermatoloji servisinde tespit edilen risklerle aynı olmasına rağmen risk puanının daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. KBB servisinin cerrahi bir servis olması, yatan hasta profilinin daha ağır olması ve hastalara yapılan görüntüleme tetkikleri, cerrahi işlemler ve tıbbi müdahalelerin fazla olması bu durumun asıl sebebi olduğu görülmüş. Çalışmanın sonucunda Fine Kinney risk değerlendirme yönteminin sağlık kuruluşlarında kullanılabilecek bir yöntem olduğu belirlenmiştir. In this study, a risk assessment field study has been conducted using the Fine Kinney risk assessment method in the dermatology and ENT services of a university hospital in our country. A total of 142 risks have been identified, 72 in the ENT service and 70 in the dermatology service. Some of the risks identified in both services are similar, and different risks have also been identified. The quantitative and meaningful results of the risks rated by the Fine Kinney risk assessment method used in the study has showed that the method is widely used in the production sector in our country and can be actively used in health institutions. In the study, it has been observed that although some risks detected in the ENT service are the same as those detected in the dermatology service, the risk score is higher. The fact that the ENT service is a surgical service, the inpatient profile is heavier, and the imaging tests, surgical procedures and medical interventions performed on the patients are found to be the main reason for this situation. As a result of the study, it has been determined that the Fine Kinney risk assessment method is a method that can be used in health institutions.
