The Impact of Innovation on the Unemployment Youth in Turkey, 1995-2017
Abstract
Bu çalışma Türkiye'de 1995-2017 yılları arasında inovasyonun genç işsizlik üzerindeki etkisini incelemektedir. Çalışmada bağımlı değişken 15-24 yaş arası işsizlik oranı iken bağımsız değişkenler; patent-marka-faydalı model sayılarının toplamı, Ar-Ge yatırımlarının GSYİH 'ya oranı, teknolojiye dayalı ithalatın toplam ithalata oranı ile teknolojiye dayalı ihracatın toplam ihracata oranı olarak 4 değişken alınmıştır. Çalışma dört ayrı bölüme ayrılarak işsizlik ile inovasyon kavramları, türleri ve ekonomik-sosyal boyutları bilhassa her iki olgunun etkileşimi incelemiştir. Aradaki ilişkinin tespitine yönelik Grangernedensellik analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucuna göre işsizlik verisi bağımlı değişken ve diğer değişkenler bağımsız değişkenler olduğunda Ar-Ge yatırımları, teknolojiye dayalı ithalat değişkenlerinden işsizlik değişkenine doğru nedensellik ilişkisinin mevcut olduğu görülmüştür. Ancak teknolojiye dayalı ihracatın işsizliğe bir etkisi bulunmamakla birlikte uzun dönemde sadece teknolojiye dayalı ithalattan etkilendiği saptanmıştır.

Thestudy is dividedintofourseparatechapters, examiningtheconcepts of unemploymentandinnovation as wellastypes of unemploymentandinnovationandeconomic-socialdimensions, especiallytheinteraction of bothcases.TheGrangercausalityanalysiswasconductedtodeterminethecorrelationamongvariables.Accordingtotheresults of thestudy, whentheunemployment data aredependentuponvariablesandothervariablesareindependent;Itcan be saidthatthere is a one-waycausalityrelationshipbetweenthevariables of R & D investments, technologybasedimports, unemploymentvariable.However, althoughtechnology-basedexports hadnoeffect on unemployment, it wasdeterminedthattheywereonlyaffectedbytechnology-basedimports in thelongterm.
