Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul öncesi dönem çocuğu olan ebeveynlerin merhamet düzeyleri ile riskli oyuna izin verme durumlarını incelemektir. Araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tarama modelinde desenlenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Çanakkale ili merkez ve ilçelerinde Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı bağımsız anaokullarına ve ilkokullar bünyesindeki anasınıflarına devam eden 4-6 yaş aralığındaki çocukların anne-babalarından oluşan 700 ebeveyn oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak 'Kişisel Bilgi Formu', 'Yetişkin Merhamet Ölçeği' ve '4-6 Yaş Çocukları İçin Riskli Oyunlara İzin Verme Ölçeği' kullanılmıştır. Veri analizi sonucunda, ebeveynlerin merhamet düzeylerinin gerek ölçeğin alt boyutlarında gerekse genel toplamında yüksek olduğu; ebeveynlerin çocuklarının riskli oyun oynamalarına düşük düzeyde izin verdikleri belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, merhamet ölçeğinin genel toplamı ile çok riskli yüksekliklerde oyun, tehlikeli aletlerle oyun, az riskli yüksekliklerde oyun, tehlikeli doğal unsurlara yakın oyun alt boyutları ve riskli oyunlara izin verme ölçeğinin genel toplamı arasında negatif yönde anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur.
The aim of this research is to examine compassion levels and risky play allowance of parents with preschool children. The research was designed in the survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The sample of the research consisted of 700 parents of children between the ages of 4-6 who attended independent kindergartens affiliated with the Ministry of National Education and nursery classrooms within primary schools in the center and districts of Çanakkale province. 'Personal Information Form', 'Adult Compassion Scale' and 'Risky Game Allowance Scale For 4-6 Years Children' were used as data collection tools in the research. As a result of data analysis, parents' compassion levels were high both in the sub-dimensions of the scale and in the overall total while parents allowed their children to play risky games at a low level. Also, negative significant relationships were found between the total of the compassion scale and the sub-dimensions of playing at very risky heights, playing with dangerous tools, playing at low risky heights, playing close to dangerous natural elements, and the total of the scale of allowing risky games.
