dc.description.abstract | This research was conducted to investigate the growth characteristics of Morkaraman and Corriedale x Morkaraman ($F_1$) lambs grown un'der semi-intensive conditions. The effects of genotype, birth type, maternal age and sex on birth weights were significant (P< 0.01). The effect of birth type on (15th and 30th) and (75th and 90th) days body weights was significant (P<0.05 and P<0.01 respectively), but was not significant on other growth periods. The effect of maternal age, genotype and sex on body weights during all growing periods were not significant. The avarage weights were 3.41 and 3.85 kg at birth; 21.99 and 21.65 kg at weaning (age of 90 days), and 206 and 198g daily live weight gains from birth to age of 90 days respectively, for Morkaraman and Corriedale x Morkaraman ($F_1$) lambs. | en_US |
