Sheikh Musharraf Al-Hunuki and His Arabic Poetical Letters

Abstract

Şeyh Müşerref, Siirt'in Pervari ilçesine bağlı Güleçler (Hunûk) köyünde doğmuştur. Siirt ve çevresinde bulunan çeşitli medreselerde dönemin meşhur âlimlerinden ders alarak yetişmiş, dil ilimlerinde ve tasavvufta temâyüz etmiştir. Hayatını ilim ve din hizmetine adayan önemli bir şahsiyettir. Şeyh Müşerref, yüzlerce talebe yetiştirmiş ve ondan fazla eser yazmıştır. Şeyh Müşerref'in eserlerinden bir tanesi de Divânı'dır. Çalışmamızın konusu Divan adındaki eserinin Arapça bölümünün büyük bir kısmını oluşturan Şeyh Müşerref'in Arapça manzum mektuplarıdır. Şeyh Müşerref, büyük bölümü Arapça olmak üzere Kürtçe, Farsça ve Türkçe olarak dört cilde yakın mektup yazmıştır. Şeyh Müşerref'in mektuplarını mensur, manzum ve manzum-mensur karışık olarak üç farklı şekilde yazmıştır. Şeyh Müşerref, konumuz olan iki yüz elliye yakın manzum mektubu yetmiş beş farklı kişiye göndermiştir. Şeyh Müşerref'in manzum mektuplarının konuları ağırlık olarak medih/övgü, mersiye/ağıt, taziye/başsağlığı ve tebriktir. Şeyh Müşerref, manzum mektuplarına hamd, fiil, harfıcer, harfı nida, yemin, dua, selam, vb. ifadeler kullanarak giriş yapmıştır. Girişten konuya geçişte وبعد '' ،'وقد' ، 'واني اهنئ' gibi ifadeler kullanarak bağlantı kurmuştur. Sonuç kısmında mektubunu hamd, salat, dua, istiğfar ve tarih ile bitirmiştir.

Sheikh Musharraf was born in Güleçler (Hunûk) village of Pervari district of Siirt. He received education from prominent and prestigious scholars of his own time at various madrassahs which were at Siirt and its surroundings. He came to fore at linguistic studies and Sufism. He was an outstanding scholar who devoted himself to religious service and Islamic sciences. Sheikh Musharraf educated hundreds of students and wrote more than 10 works. One of his works is Diwan. The subject of my thesis is the Arabic verse letters of Sheikh Musharraf, which constitute a large part of the Arabic section of his work named Diwan. Sheikh Musharraf wrote nearly four volumes of letters in Kurdish, Persian and Turkish, but mostly in Arabic. He wrote his letters in three different forms: prose, verse and verse-prose. Sheikh Musharraf has sent two hundred and fifty letters which he wrote in poetical form to seventy-five different people.The subjects of Sheikh Musharraf's poetical letters are mostly praise/commendation, coronach/elegy, condolence/sympathies and gratulation/congratulation. Sheikh Musharraf's letters begin with expressions such as giving glory to Allah, using prepositions (huruf al-jarr), using verbs, vowing, greetings, vocative particle (harf an-nida), etc. In the transition from the introduction to the body, he uses expressions such as وبعد '' ،'وقد' ، واني اهنئ' to make connection with the topic. He ends his letter with giving glory to Allah, salawat, invocation, supplication, seeking for forgiveness from Allah and date.
