On Topological Entropy for Transitive and Piecewise Monotone Transformations

Abstract

73 ÖZET Bu çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde çalışmamız için gerekli olan temel tanımlar, teoremler ve önermeler detaya girilmeden verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, topolojik geçişken, periyodik, sınırlı değişimli ve parçalı monoton dönüşümlerle ilgili bazı temel sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca minimal dönüşümlerin ve Wandering olmayan kümelerin bazı özellikleri incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, Rohlin ve Walters'in çalışmalarından yararlanarak dinamik sistemin ölçüm entropisinin baza özellikleri detaya girilmeksizin verilmiştir (Rohlin, 1967 ve Walters, 1982). Daha sonra, Adler, Konheim, McAndrew (1965) ve Bowen (1971) çalışmalarından yararlanarak topolojik dinamik sistemin topolojik entropisinin temel özellikleri incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, geçişken, sınırlı değişimli ve parçalı monoton dönüşümlerin topolojik entropisi tanımlanarak bu dönüşümlerin topolojik entropisi ile ilgili bazı sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Bu bölümün sonunda da topolojik entropi ile ölçüm entropi arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmiştir.

74 SUMMARY This study consists of three chapters. In first chapter, requirement essential definitions, theorems and propositions for our study are given without detail. In second chapter, some essential results interested with topological transitive, periodicity, bounded variation and piecewise monotone transformations are gotten. In addition, some properties of minimal maps and Non-Wandering sets are investigated. In third chapter, using from the works of Rohlin and Walters, some properties of measure theoretic entropy of dynamical system are given without detail (Rohlin 1967 and Walters, 1980). After that, using from the works of Adler, Konheim and McAndrew (1965) and Bowen (1971), essential properties of topological entropy of topological dynamical system are investigated. Separately, givining the definition of topological entropy of transitive, bounded variation and piecewise monotone transformations, interested with the topological entropy of these transformations some results are gotten. The end of this chapter relating between topological entropy and measure theoretic entropy is investigated.
