Abstract
Schwannomas are the most common intraspinal tumors. There tumors are solitary and well encapsulated. They develop from dorsal nerve roots and this characteristic feature is of importance during surgical approach. 70%- 80% of them are in intradural extramedullary location. Total removal of these tumors generally provides cure. Herein, we present a giant pure extradural foraminal schwannoma in a 20 year old female patient presented with pain, numbness and motor weakness at the left hand in the light of the literature. © 2015, Anatolian Journal of Clinical Investigation.
