Nomandic Stockbreedink (Small Ruminant) Activities in Province of Bitlis
Abstract
Bu çalışmada, Bitlis İline gelen göçer küçükbaş hayvancılık yapan ailelerin hayvancılık faaliyetleri hakkında ayrıntılı bilgilerin sunulması amaçlanmıştır. Göçerve yarı göçer aşiretlerin nasıl hayvancılık yaptıkları ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.Bugüne kadar yabancı araştırmacı ve misyonerlerin siyasal amaçlar doğrultusundahazırlamış oldukları çalışmalar ve bazı yerli araştırmacıların daha çok etnik yapıhakkındaki, siyasal ve ideolojik amaçlı çalışmaları ile siyasallaştırılan aşiretkavramının en büyük gelir kaynağı olan hayvancılık faaliyetleri esasen önemli birkonudur.Araştırma, nicel ve nitel veri tekniklerinin birlikte kullanıldığı birçalışmadır. Gözlem, görüşme formu ve anket tekniklerinin kullanıldığı buçalışma, bir alan araştırmasıdır.Bitlis'teki küçükbaş hayvan yetiştiriciliğinin sürdürülebilmesi ve Bitlis İlinesağlanacak ekonomik yarar bakımından göçer küçükbaş hayvancılık yapan ailelerinmevcut sorunlarının çözülmesi gerekmektedir.Anahtar kelimeler: Bitlis İli, Göçer yaşam, Küçükbaş hayvancılık, Nicel ve nitelveri
In this study, detailed information about nomadic families in Bitlis provincedealing with stockbreeding activities was given. Stockbreeding activities of nomadicand semi-nomadic tribes were investigated. Studies made by foreign researchers andmissionaries in order to achieve their political goals, and by some local researcherson political and ideological studies relating to ethnical and stockbreeding activitiesthat is the main source of income of the politicized tribes were the main theme ofthis study.Both quantitative and qualitative techniques were used in this study. On theother hand, the study was based on field activities consisting of observations,interviews and questionnaire techniques.The results indicated that solving the problems of nomadic and semi-nomadic families is vitally important to sustain stockbreeding of sheep and goats,and to benefit Bitlis province economically.Key words: Bitlis province, Nomadic life, Small ruminant livestock, Quantitativeand qualitative data
