Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, Cumhuriyet Dönemi çocuk ve gençlik edebiyatının önde gelen yazarlarından İpek Ongun'un mezkûr hedef kitlelere dönük romanlarını eğitsel iletiler açısından incelemektir. Bu kapsamda araştırmanın inceleme nesnesini İpek Ongun'un 5 romanı oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizi ise içerik analizi yöntemi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. İncelenen eserlerde toplam 536 eğitsel ileti tespit edilmiş ve bunlar tematik kodlama yapılarak 8 kategori altında toplanmıştır. Belirlenen eğitsel iletilerin kategorilere dağılımı şu şekildedir: kişisel gelişimi destekleyen eğitsel iletiler 301 (%56), toplumsal gelişimi destekleyen eğitsel iletiler 130 (%24), sevgi duygusunun gelişimini destekleyen eğitsel iletiler 60 (%11), estetik algının gelişimini destekleyen eğitsel iletiler 7 (%1), dinî değerlerin gelişimini destekleyen eğitsel iletiler 9 (%2), iktisadi gelişimi destekleyen eğitsel iletiler 16 (%3), ulusal değerlerin gelişimini destekleyen eğitsel iletiler 11 (%2), evrensel değerlerin gelişimini destekleyen eğitsel iletiler 2 (%1) adettir. İncelenen romanlarda frekans değeri yüksek olan iletiler: nezaket (f=45), arkadaşlık (f=38), sanatsal ve kültürel etkinlikler (f=24), merhamet (f=20) iken; tutarlı olmak (f=1), planlı ve düzenli olmak (f=1), teknoloji kullanımı (f=1), kanaatkâr olmak (f=1), öz saygı (f=1), paylaşma (f=1), birikim (f=1), tarihsel mirasa duyarlılık (f=1), barış (f=1) meslek etiği (f=1) iletilerinin frekans değeri düşük düzeydedir. İncelenen eserlerin eğitim açısından muhteviyatının oldukça zengin ve verimli olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda, bahse konu eserlerin çocukların ve gençlerin eğitimine önemli katkılar sağlayabilecekleri ve çok yönlü gelişimlerini destekleyebilecek nitelikte oldukları sonucuna varılmıştır.
The aim of this study is to examine the educational messages in the novels targeted at children and young adults by İpek Ongun, one of the leading authors of children and youth literature in the Republican era. In this scope, the research focuses on 5 novels written by İpek Ongun, and the document analysis technique is used as a qualitative research method. The analysis of the obtained data is conducted using content analysis. A total of 536 educational messages were identified in the examined works, and they were grouped under 8 categories through thematic coding. The distribution of identified educational messages is as follows: educational messages supporting personal development 301 (56%), educational messages supporting social development 130 (24%), educational messages supporting the development of love feelings 60 (11%), educational messages supporting the development of aesthetic perception 7 (1%), educational messages supporting the development of religious values 9 (2%), educational messages supporting economic development 16 (3%), educational messages supporting national values 11 (2%), and educational messages supporting universal values 2 (1%). The frequently occurring messages in the novels are: politeness (f=45), friendship (f=38), artistic and cultural activities (f=24), and compassion (f=20), while messages such as consistency (f=1), being organized and planned (f=1), using technology (f=1), being content (f=1), self-esteem (f=1), sharing (f=1), accumulation (f=1), sensitivity to historical heritage (f=1), peace (f=1), and professional ethics (f=1) have low frequency values. It is determined that the content of the examined works is rich and productive in terms of education. In this regard, it is concluded that these works can provide significant contributions to the education of children and young adults and can support their multi-dimensional development.
