Abstract
Sinân-ı Ümmî (v.1067/1657), whose two Works, ?Divan? and ?Kutbu?l Meânî?, came to our today, has written first in verse, the other in prose. His Works which he wrote in Yunus style in respects of characteristics of form and type and language and expression with influence of his teachers, Vâhib-i Ümmî, Eroğlu Nûri Efendi und Ahmed Şemseddîn-i Marmaravî, are seen as `victory of Turkish? by experts in respects of its linguistic and literary features. While Sinân-ı Ümmî adopt general acceptances of mysticism in practical subjects of tasawwuf, he is an Halwati in practicals of Halwatiyya sect and an good successor of wahdat-i wucud in topics of mystic thought. However, he reflected some elements of Turkish mystic thought which he was matured in thought and in spirit (thought and spirit) to his own mystic understanding and vievs. İn addition, his reflection of cultural and social and physical and geographical elements of environment who lived to his verses and proses in all almost occasions is also evaluated as richness.
