A Distrubition Analysis for E-Commerce Use of Various Occupational Groups in Turkey (research on Occupational Group in Bitlis)
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine whether the use of e-commerce varies depending on the profession group, age, gender, education level, and income level in Bitlis. As a result of this study, the frequency of use of e-commerce was analyzed in detail according to different gender, occupational groups, age ranges and education levels. The scope of the research consists of masses of 15 different professions, regardless of gender, regardless of their monthly income, regardless of whether they are illiterate or not, regardless of their educational status, within the framework of demographic structures within the borders of Bitlis province and its districts. In our descriptive study, the data were collected using a survey tool, and the SPSS 22.0 program, the Statistical Program for Social Sciences, was used in the analysis of the research data. 500 profession group members participated in our research and it was observed that 74% of the participants (370 people) used electronic commerce, and the proportion of women was less than men, and only 28.2% (141 women) of the questionnaire consisted of women. Also, considering the educational status of the participants, the highest participation was found to be undergraduate graduates with 35% (176 people). It is recommended that companies increase their media literacy training for e-commerce use, organize e-commerce use training in life-long training centers, and inform companies about using e-commerce more clearly, clearly and comprehensively. As a result, we can say that the rate of electronic commerce usage of members of the profession group is high and these rates may increase with time that individuals can meet their needs by using more electronic commerce over time, and electronic commerce can become an indispensable part of our lives.
