Abstract
In his works, Khalil Jibran grounded human existence on a spiritual basis and tried to establish a balance with its worldly aspects. Jibran, who built a bridge between Eastern culture and Western literature, tried to find answers to the deepest existential questions of humanity under the guidance of the mystical aspects of philosophy, and achieved a universal harmony of 'duality' in all of his literary works written in Arabic and English. One of the reasons why he wrote his works in English is to establish the concept of 'duality' in the language of literature and to ensure that it has a place on the universal level. In our study; the themes and style of Gibran's works, who was successful in his efforts, and how they are reflected in English Language and Literature will be investigated. Cibran used themes such as humanity, nature, existential pangs, the soul, God and death in his works and brought a new perspective to literature by processing these themes around the concept of 'duality'. In this thesis, it is aimed to present Gibran's literary life, the counterpart of the migration element in his works and the concept of 'duality', which he used in creating his works and which has not been examined in sufficient depth, with an explanatory perspective. In addition, the important works of Gibran will be examined thematically in the study and his work The Earth Gods will be detailed around the concept of 'duality'.
