| dc.description.abstract | Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) is a rare and life threatening complication of antipsychotic therapy. It presents with fever, altered mental status, autonomic instability and muscle rigidity. Differential diagnosis consist many conditions. NMS is a diagnosis of exclusion. NMS is in the differential diagnosis of patients presenting with fever to emergency department, where careful history and previous medication use is essential for diagnosing and treating this phenomenon. | en_US |
