Taxonomic Revision of Trigonosciadium Boiss. (Apiaceae) Members Which Have Spreading in Turkey

Abstract

Çalışmamızın temelini Türkiye'de doğal olarak yayılış gösteren Trigonosciadium Boiss. cinsine ait taksonlar üzerinde yapılan anatomik, morfolojik, palinolojik, moleküler ve ekolojik çalışmalar oluşturmaktadır. 2011-2014 yılları arasında Trigonosciadium Boiss. cinsinin çiçeklenme ve meyvelenme dönemi olan Mayıs ve Temmuz ayları arasında çalışmamız için gerekli olan materyaller Türkiye Florası'nda ve lisansüstü tezlerde verilen lokalitelerden toplanmıştır. Taksonların betimleri ve cins anahtarı yeniden düzenlenmiş ve arazi gözlemlerine dayanılarak türlerin yayılış alanları ve IUCN kategorileri yeniden belirlenmiştir. Çalışmamız esnasında tip lokalitesi ülkemiz olan fakat 1888 yılından beri toplanamamış, örnekleri ülkemiz herbaryumlarında bulunmayan ve Türkiye Bitkileri Kırmızı Kitabında DD kategorisine dahil edilen T. tuberosum Boiss. türünün örnekleri yeniden tip lokalitesinden yeterli miktarda toplanmıştır. Şimdiye kadar ülkemizde dört tür ve bir alttür ile temsil edilen Trigonosciadium Boiss. cinsi; T. tuberosum subsp. undulatum (Yıld.) Menemen'un T.viscidulum Boiss. & Hausskn. türüne aktarılmasıyla ikisi endemik olan dört tür ile temsil edilecektir. The present study aimed to investigate the anatomical, morphological, palynological, ecological and molecular features of taxa belonging to genus Trigonosciadium Boiss. which is naturally distrubuted in Turkey. Specimens were collected between 2011 and 2014 from May to July; in flowering and fructing period of the genus. The localities were determined according to The Flora of Turkey and some post graduate thesis. Descriptions of the taxa and the identification key were determined and the distribution ranges of the species and their IUCN categories were reestablished based upon the field observations. Throughout the study, sufficient amount of T. tuberosum Boiss. specimens were collected from type locality. The specimens of the genus have never been sampled since 1888 in spite of the fact that its type locality is Turkey; and it is included in DD category in the Red Data Book of Turkish Plants and is also absent in Turkish herbariums. Up to now, the genus was represented with 4 species and 1 subspecies in Turkey. The T. tuberosum subsp. undulatum (Yıld.) Menemen is used to be subspecies of T. tuberosum. According to our comprehensive investigations, the subspecies was transferred to T. viscidulum Boiss. & Hausskn. and the genus was reorganized as 4 species, 2 of them endemic.
