1946-1954 Bitlis Elections

Abstract

Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nde muhalefet mekanizmasının henüz yerleşmemiş olmasından kaynaklı demokrasinin sancılı bir dönemden geçmesi ile gerekli olan çok partili yaşam deneyimleri Demokrat Parti ile nihai sonuca ulaşmıştır. Türkiye açısından önemli bir gelişme olan ve daimi muhalefetin sağlanmasının ardından Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi ile Demokrat Parti arasında geçen siyasi çekişmeler, ülkede olduğu gibi Bitlis siyasi hayatına yansımıştır. Bu araştırmadaki temel amaç, siyasi tarihimizde ve çok partili yaşama geçişte büyük bir öneme sahne olan seçimlerin 1946-1954 yılları arasında Bitlis'e yansıması ele alınmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda yapılan çalışma, gerek Bitlis'te gerekse bölge açısından partilerin faaliyetlerini gün ışığına çıkarmaktadır. Bu çalışma 1946-1954 dönemlerini kapsayan Bitlis basınının önemli gazeteleri ve arşiv belgeleri taranarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. İlin önemli yazılı basın kaynaklarından Bitlis Gazetesinden elde edilen sonuçlar değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma çerçevesi Bitlis ilinde yayınlanan yerel gazete, seçim süreçleri hakkında yayınlanmış haber ve basın bildirileri ve araştırmacının yorumundan oluşmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında 1946-1954 yıllarında yayına devam eden gazeteler incelenmiş olup, Başbakanlık Cumhuriyet Arşivinden yararlanılmıştır. Bu tez çalışması üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölüm '1946 Bitlis Seçimleri', ikinci bölüm '1950 Bitlis Seçimleri' ve üçüncü bölümde de '1954 Bitlis Seçimleri' başlığıyla incelenmiştir. The origin of painful democracy opposition from the Republic of Turkey is not yet in place mechanisms to pass through a necessary period of multiparty life experiences and the Democratic Party have reached the final result. which it is an important development for Turkey and the provision of permanent opposition between the Democratic Party and Republican People's Party after the political strife, as in the political life of the country is reflected in Bitlis. The main purpose of this research is to determine the relations between the Democratic Party, which has a great importance in our political history and transition to multi-party life, and Bitlis reflections between 1946-1954 and the Republican People's Party and Democratic Party relations. The study conducted for this purpose brings the activities of the parties to the light both in Bitlis province and the region. This study was carried out by scanning the important newspapers and archival documents of the Bitlis press covering the periods of 1946-1954. The results obtained from Bitlis Newspaper, one of the important written press sources of the province, were evaluated. The framework of the research consists of the local newspaper published in Bitlis, news and press releases about the election processes and the commentator's comments. Within the scope of the study, the newspapers which were published in 1946-1954 were examined and the Republican Archives of the Prime Ministry was utilized. This thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter was examined under the title of 46 1946 Bitlis Elections ken while the second chapter was '1950 Bitlis Elections' and the third chapter was '1954 Bitlis Elections'.
