Abstract
Covid-19 salgınının Çin'de ortaya çıkmasından sonra bütün dünyaya yayılarak bir pandemiye dönüşmesinin ardından birçok ülkede acil uzaktan eğitim süreci başlamıştır. Birçok eğitim kademesinde olduğu gibi üniversiteler de acil uzaktan eğitimle eğitimlerine devam etmeye çalışmıştır. Bu çalışmada öğretim elemanlarının Covid-19 dönemindeki dijitalleşme durumları incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, analiz tekniği olarak nicel ve nitel boyutların birlikte bulunduğu karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Tasarım olarak ise Cresswell'in eşzamanlı dönüşümsel tasarımı kullanılmıştır. Nitel çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlar nicel çalışmadan elde edilen verilerle birlikte değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın nicel boyutunda Doğu Anadolu'da bir devlet üniversitesinde 2020-2021 yılları arasında görev yapan 201 öğretim elemanın dijitalleşme durumları, Covid-19 pandemi döneminde yapılan acil uzaktan eğitim bağlamında incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın nitel boyutunda araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanmış olan yarı yapılandırılmış Acil Uzaktan Eğitim Formu ile aynı üniversitede ve aynı yıllar arasında 10 öğretim elemanının, acil uzaktan eğitim sürecinde yaşadıkları deneyim ve teknoloji kullanımı ile ilgili bilgiler elde edilmiştir. Toplanan veriler çalışmanın nitel boyutunda, olgubilim yöntemi ile analiz edilmiş, bu kapsamda öğretim elemanlarının, pandemi öncesi ve süreci için kullandıkları materyal, teknoloji bilgileri ve dijitalleşme durumları ile sürecin bu durumlara etkisine yönelik görüşleri raporlanmıştır. Alınan bilgiler öğretim elemanlarının bazı demografik özelliklerine göre incelenmiştir. Ayrıca yapılan çalışma sonucunda öğretim elemanlarının genel dijitalleşme düzeylerinin ortalamanın üstünde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Öğretim elemanlarının yaşa, görev yapılan birime, unvana, mezuniyet derecesine göre dijitalleşme düzeyinde farklılık elde edilmiştir. Acil uzaktan eğitim süreciyle ilgili sorulan soruların cevaplarına göre öğretim elemanlarının dijitalleşme düzeylerinde farklılaşmalar olduğu görülmüş ve raporlanmıştır.
After the Covid-19 epidemic emerged in China and spread to the whole world and turned into a pandemic, an emergency remote education process has started in many countries. As in many educational levels, universities have tried to continue their education with emergency remote education. In this study, the digitalization status of the lecturers in the Covid-19 period was examined. In the study, the mixed method, which includes both quantitative and qualitative dimensions, was used as an analysis technique. Cresswell's simultaneous transformative design was used as the design. The results obtained from the qualitative study were evaluated together with the data obtained from the quantitative study. In the quantitative aspect of the study, the digitalization status of 201 lecturers working at a state university in Eastern Anatolia between 2020-2021 were examined in the context of emergency remote education during the Covid-19 pandemic period. In the qualitative aspect of the study, with the semi-structured Emergency Remote Education Form prepared by the researchers, information about the experience and technology use of 10 lecturers in the same university and between the same years was obtained. The collected data were analyzed with the phenomenological method in the qualitative aspect of the study, and in this context, the material, technology information and digitalization situations of the instructors before and during the pandemic, and their views on the effect of the process on these situations were reported. The information received was analyzed according to some demographic characteristics of the instructors. In addition, as a result of the study, it was determined that the general digitalization levels of the lecturers were above the average. There was a difference in the level of digitalization of the instructors according to age, unit of work, title, graduation degree. According to the answers to the questions asked about the emergency remote education process, it has been observed and reported that there are differences in the digitalization levels of the instructors.
