Studies on the Fauna and Ecology of Pyralidae (Lepidoptera) in Mutki District (Bitlis)

Abstract

Bu tezde Mutki ilçesinin Pyralidae faunası ve ekolojisine katkı sunulması amaçlanmıştır. Giriş bölümünde, Pyralidae familyası hakkında genel bilgilerin yanı sıra, inceleme alanının coğrafik özelliklerine de yer verilmiştir. Araştırmalar 2010-2012 yılları Nisan-Kasım ayları arasında, arazide gece ve gündüz yapılan toplama ve gözlem faaliyetleriyle yürütülmüştür. Teşhislerde kullanılan örnekler müze materyali şeklinde hazırlanmış ve her türe ait genital preparatları yapılmıştır. Çalışmalar sonucunda tespit edilen türlere ait; sinonimler, orijinal referans, türün Dünya'daki yayılışı, türün Türkiye'de tespit edildiği iller, erginin uçuş dönemi ve günlük faaliyeti, larva besin bitkisi ve habitat gibi bilgilere bulgular bölümünde yer verilmiştir. Tezde Pyralidae familyası içerisinde yer alan 12 altfamilyaya ait toplam 193 takson tespit edilmiştir. Bu taksonlardan 183'ü tür düzeyinde, 10'u ise cins düzeyinde teşhis edilmiştir. Elde edilen taksonların hepsi Mutki ilçesi için yeni kayıttır. Tespit edilen 183 türden 169'u Bitlis'te, bunlardan 12'si ise Türkiye'de ilk defa bulunmuştur. Ayrıca Türkiye faunası için 9 yeni cins tespit edilmiştir. Tezde türlerin gün içerisinde aktiflik durumları, çalışma lokalitelerinde tespit edilen tür sayıları ile aylara göre tür sayıları ve bulunma oranları gibi ekolojik değerlendirmeler de yapılmıştır. In this thesis, it is aimed to contribute to the fauna and the ecology of the Pyralidae of Mutki district. In the introduction, general information about the Pyralidae, as well as the geographical features of the studying area are explained. During the field studies observations and collecting activities have been carried out by day and night between months April and November of the years 2010-2012. Collected specimens have been prepared in the form of standard museum material, together with their male genitalia for identification. In the findings chapter, all recorded taxa are given together with their synonyms, original references, range in the World, their distribution in Turkey, phenology of the adults, larval food-plants, and habitat preferences. In the thesis, totally 193 species of the Pyralidae in the 12 subfamilies are determined faunistically. Among them, 183 taxa are identified by the author at specific level, while 10 taxa at generic level. All the species are new to Mutki district. Among the identified 183 species, 169 taxa are new to Bitlis province, while 12 species new to Turkey. Besides, 9 genera are recorded for the fauna of Turkey for the first time. Various ecological evaluations are also made. Several species are also discussed from taxonomical standpoint. Key words: Turkey, Bitlis, Mutki, Lepidoptera, Pyralidae, Fauna, Ecology
