Investigating of Multidimensonal Scaling Analysis and an Application

Abstract

Bu çalışma çok boyutlu ölçekleme analizi ile ilgili olarak hazırlanmış olup, analizin tanıtımı yapılarak kullanım alanları ve kullanım şekli hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Tez çalışması 5 ana bölümden oluşmuş olup, ilk bölümde analizin genel bir tanımı yapılmıştır. Literatür bildirişleri kısmında konu ile ilgili daha önce yapılmış çalışmalara değinilerek, araştırmacıların bu konu üzerine yapmış olduğu araştırma ve tanımlara yer verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde tez çalışmasında kullanılacak materyal hakkında birtakım bilgiler verilerek, çok boyutlu ölçekleme analizinin türleri, yapısı, uygulama şekli ve metotları anlatılmıştır. Ayrıca analizin uygulanmasına ilişkin kullanılabilecek uzaklık ölçüleri ve ölçekler hakkında bilgiler verilmiştir. Dördüncü bölüm olan uygulama bölümünde Van iline ait 12 ilçe arasında telekomünikasyon hizmetleri, eğitim ve nüfus ile ilgili bir takım değişkenler kullanılarak; Çok Boyutlu Ölçekleme Analizi ile söz konusu ilçelerin, birbirine benzerlikleri veya farklılıkları tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Sonuç bölümünde ise uygulama ile elde edilen bulgular değerlendirilerek, ortaya çıkan farklılık veya benzerliklerin sebepleri konusunda tespitler yapılmaya çalışıldı.

This study was prepared in connection with multidimensional scaling analysis. The information about usage areas and usage format has been given by making its presentation. The work of thesis consist of five main parts. At the first section definitions of analysis were made. And reports by literature on the subject will be defined by referring to previous studies where researchers have done researches and definitions on this subject were included. In the third section some information was given about a number of materials which will be used in the study of thesis. The types and structure of multidimensional scaling analysis and the methods of application were discussed. In addition some informaiton was given about measures of distances and scales which will be able to be e used during the implementation of analysis. In the fourth section of the application, by using a number of parametres releated to population, education and telecommunication services among 12 districts of Van province , the districts in question were studied to be determined how similar or dissimilar from each other in terms of specified parametres. It was aimed to identified similarities and dissimilarities of these districts interms of internet services and other services such as education with this application. The findings obtained by application were eveluated and the determinations were attempted in terms of causes of similarities and dissimilarities in the Result section.
