Seroprevalance of Mycoplasma Agalactiae in Goats in the Region Of

Abstract

Kılınç K. Van yöresi keçilerinde Mycoplasma agalactiae?nın seroprevalansı. YYÜ, Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Van, 2013. Koyun ve keçilerde mastitis, poliartritis ve keratokonjuktivitis ile karakterize olan bulaşıcı agalalaksiya, önemli ekonomik kayıplara neden olmaktadır. Enfeksiyon dünyanın birçok bölgesinde bildirilmiştir. Hasatlığın spesifik etkeni Mycoplasma agalactiae olmakla birlikte, bazı vakalarda diğer bazı mikoplazma türleri de (M. mycoides subsp. capri, M. capricolum subsp. capricolum ve M. putrefaciens) sorumlu tutulmaktadır. Hastalığın teşhisi, etken izolasyonu veya çeşitli serolojik testlerle spesifik antikorların saptanmasıyla yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, Gevaş-Van bölgesinde barınan 22 farklı sürüye ait toplam 371 adet keçiden alınan kan serumlarında M. agalactiae?nin seroprevalansının saptanması amaçlandı. Örnekler, ticari enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kiti ile test edildi. Test, kitte belirtilen yönteme göre yapıldı. Test sonucunda, 371 keçi serumunun 8?inin (%2.1) pozitif olduğu belirlendi. İncelenen 22 sürünün 3?ünde (%13.6) pozitiflik saptandı. M. agalactiae yönünden pozitif bulunan hayvanların 5?i (%62.5) bir sürüde, 2?si (%25) başka bir sürüde ve 1?i (%12.5) de başka bir sürüde barınan hayvanlarda saptandı. Contagious agalactia is a mycoplasmal disease of sheep and goats that can cause serious economic losses from mastitis, polyarthritis and keratoconjunctivitis. Contagious agalactiae has been reported in much of the world. The agent of this disease is Mycoplasma agalactiae and some other Mycoplasma species (M. mycoides subsp. capri, M. capricolum subsp. capricolum and M. putrefaciens). Contagious agalactia can be diagnosed by isolating the causative organism or the detection of specific antibodies by different serological tests. In this study, it was aimed to determine the seroprevalance of M. agalacteiae in the blood samples which were taken from 22 different herds, consisting of 371 goats that live in the region of Gevaş-Van. The blood samples were analysed with commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit and the analysis was performed according to the procedure specified in the kit. As a result of analysis, eight (2.1%) out of 371 goat blood samples were evaluated as positive. Of the 22 flocks examined, 3 (13.6%) were evaluated as positive and it was found that 5 (62.5%), 2 (25%) and 1 (12.5%) of the animals with M. agalactiae locate in separate flocks. In conclusion, the seroprevalence of M. agalactiae was determined as 2.1% in goats in Van region. Key Words: ELISA, Goat, Mycoplasma agalactiae, Seroprevalence,Van
