Morphological and Taxonomical Studies on Sterigmostemum M.bieb. (Hiriksusun) (Brassicaceae) Species in Turkey

Abstract

Bu çalışma; Türkiye'de yayılış gösteren Sterigmostemum M. Bieb. cinsine ait taksonomik ve morfolojik özelliklerini açıklamak için hazırlanmıştır. 2011-2013 yılları arasında yapılan arazi çalışmasında toplanan materyalin yanı sıra ziyaret edilen herbaryumlardaki bitki örneklerinin de değerlendirildiği çalışmamız sonucunda; Sterigmostemum acanthocarpum (Fisch. & C.A.Mey.) Kuntze Türkiye Florası için yeni kayıt olarak belirlendi. Sterigmostemum sulphureum (Banks & Soland.) Bornm. subsp. gIandulosum Hub.-Mor. & Reese taksonunun statüsü değiştirilerek tür statüsüne çıkartıldı ve Sterigmostemum glandulosum (Hub.-Mor. & Reese) Ünal & Yıldızhan comb. et stat. nov. olarak isimlendirildi. Böylece, önceleri 2 tür ve 1 alttür olmak üzere 3 taksondan bilenen cinsin takson sayısı 4 türe yükseltildi. Türkiye Sterigmostemum'larının bol örnekten ayrıntılı deskripsyonları hazırlanarak tohum özellikleri ve gövde tüyleri mikroskoptan fotograflanarak ayrıntılı olarak incelendi. Türkiye Sterigmostemum'larının incelen tüm özelliklerinin ışığında yeni takson teşhis anahtarı hazırlandı. Endemik ve nadir olan S. glandulosum ve S. acanthocarpum taksonlarının tehlike kategorileri tartışılarak bölgesel ölçekte yeni IUCN kategorileri teklif edildi. Sterigmostemum'ların dünya üzerindeki yayılışları bir harita üzerinde işaretlenerek cinsin gen merkezi üzerinde tartışmalar yapıldı. In this study, morphological and taxonomical characteristics of Sterigmostemum M. Bieb. distributed in Turkey were investigated. As result of evalution on materials collected from field and investigations on the specimen in visited between 2011 and 2013, Sterigmostemum acanthocarpum (Fisch. & C.A.Mey.) Kuntze was determined as new record for Turkey and the status of subspecies Sterigmostemum sulphureum (Banks & Soland.) Bornm subsp. gIandulosum Hub.-Mor. & Reese was changed to species Sterigmostemum glandulosum (Hub.-Mor. & Reese) Ünal & Yıldızhan comb. et stat. nov. The recorded taxa of the genus in the literature were 2 species and 1 subspecies. After the new arrengement of the genus the taxa number was rised to 4. Seed features and shoot hair characteristics from plenty of samples were investigated under microscop and photographed. More workable identification key was constructed to distinguish the species category. Threat categories of endemic S. glandulosum and non endemic S. acanthocarpum taxa were arrenged according to Regional Level of IUCN Red List Categories. The distrubution of Sterigmostemum in the world was marked on the map and the gene center of the taxon was discussed. Key words: Sterigmostemum, taxonomy, morphology, Brassicaceae, Turkey.
