Syntax review of Reşat Nuri Güntekin's novel named stamp
Abstract
The branch of science that investigates the methods or rules of natural languages and examines the connections between word groups and sentence elements is called syntax. Syntax is the basic element of sentence construction. For this reason, in order to use the language correctly and effectively, it is necessary to be a master of that language. Understanding the rules of the language used ensures that communication in that language takes place in a correct, healthy and healthy way. Syntax examines the structures that words create by coming together and the relationships between the new meanings that these structures add to the sentence. For this reason, many syntax studies have been carried out on the works. These works, which reveal the artists' mastery of style and use of language in all aspects, also shed light on academic studies. In this study, the novel Damga by Reşat Nuri Güntekin, who has contributed many works to our literature, was examined within the scope of syntax. The aim of the study is to contribute to the studies in the field of syntax and to show in detail how sentence structures are in the work in question, the phrases, sentence types and structures in the work, with examples from the work. It is aimed to see how the author uses Turkish and how it is reflected in his syntax. This study was examined under five headings. In the first part, the author's life, works and a summary of the novel that is the source of this study are given. In the second part, the word groups in the work were examined and the opinions of the researcher authors on the topics discussed were included. In the third chapter, sentence elements are discussed and presented in the form of subject, predicate, locative complement, object, adverb, nonsentence element, respectively, and with examples from the text, including the opinions of the researcher writers on these issues. In the fourth chapter, sentences are explained according to their meanings and structures. In the fifth chapter, sentence analyzes were examined in terms of syntax by considering the sentences from the novel Damga according to the rules of syntax. In the conclusion section, the findings of the study are listed in items.
