Abstract
The study was carried out to investigate whether subacute and subchronic treatment of indolbutiric acid could affect on lipid peroxidation (MDA), reduced glutathione (GSH) levels and antioxidant enzymes activity süperokside dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroksidase (GSH-Px), glutathione -S- transferase (GST), in rat various tissues under laboratory conditions. 60 albino rats (Wistar) were divided into 3 experimental groups. One of this groups was control, the others were consisted of rats which were exposed to 25 and 50 ppm doses of IBA. Besides this, in the 25th and 45th days, blood and varios tissues were taken. The levels of MDA, GSH, GST, SOD and GSH-Px on analysis of blood. and tissues was determined by means of spectrophotometer. In the end of the study, MDA levels increased subacute and subchronic groups, significantly. Generally, it was observed that the level of GSH was decreased. IBA, caused the different effects on the level of antioxidant enzymes activity and glutathione, lipid peroxidation in rats various tissues.
