Abstract
In this research, it was aimed to determine the most suitable sowing timefor pea in Van conditions. Two pea lines (110121 and110121-1) were sown at fourdifferent sowing times (October, 10, 24 , November, 7, April,15). The study wasconducted in the fields of Agricultural Faculty of Yuzuncu Yıl University by usingsplit block design with the three replication. In the study was investigated the effect of different sowing time on theplant height, first pod height, numbers of branch, numbers of pod per plant andnumbers of seed per plant, numbers of seed per pod, grain yield per plant, grainyield per unit area, harvest index, biological yield and 1000 seed weight. While the highest grain yield per area was obtained from third sowing timeand 110121-1 line with 143.0 kg/da, the lowest value was obtained from fourthsowing time and 110121 line with 45.5 kg/da.Key words: Pea, Sowing time, Yield
