Surreal Art Works Produced in Digital Environment

Abstract

Günümüz sanatı inanılmaz bir hızla değişim ve arayış içindeyken, pek çok konu, teknik ve yöntem bir döngü içinde çağın tüketimine cevap verme çabasındadır. Her geçen gün hızla yaşamın neredeyse her alanına dâhil olan teknoloji, modern insanın vazgeçilmez bir parçası haline gelmiştir. Bu durum, sanata olan duygu, düşünce ve estetik bakışı da değiştirmiştir. Geçmiş dönemlerde her sanat akımı başka bir sanat akımına karşı çıkmış ya da bir eleştiri niteliği taşımıştır. Sanat tarihine bakıldığında her akım; ilk, özgün, biricik olma düşüncesi içindedir. Bu nedenle günümüz sanatında tıpkı geçmişte olduğu gibi elindeki imkân, ortam ve sosyal yaşam getirilerinin yarattığı yeniliklerle sanat üretilmiştir. İleri ve sanal teknolojiyle iç içe yaşanılan bu dönemde sanatın dönüşümü kaçınılmazdır. Teknoloji nasıl tuval, fırça, palet gibi araçları sanata sunmuşsa, günümüzde de ekranı, sayısal formlamayı ve sanal üç boyutluluğu sunmuştur. 21. yüzyıl modern sanat alanı içeresinde, internet sanatı; eleştirilen bir alan olduğuna şahit oluyoruz. Teknoloji gelişimindeki hız 'Sanayi Devrimi' ile birlikte daha hızlı bir ivme kazanması, ortaya çıkan yeni felsefik, sosyolojik ve ekonomik kavramlar, yapılmış olan icatlar, keşifler, dijital sanatın günümüze kadar şekillenmesine önayak olmuştur. Kendisinden önce gelen akımlardan kendini soyutlamayan Dijital Sanat, yapısal bir düşünce ile günümüze kadar, tüm sanat hareketlerini yakından benimseyip, alanına dâhil etmiştir. Bundan dolayı, dijital sanat fazlaca bir çalışma alanına sahiptir. Bu tez çalışmasında bilinenlerin aksine, internet sanatını, sanatı sadece yardımcı bir şey olarak değil, aksine yeni bir sanat hareketi olarak görmek gerekmektedir. Sanat tarihine göz attığımızda, ortaya çıkışından bu yana hangi etkenlerden oluştuğu, akımlar arası etkileşimi ve özellikle çalışmanın temelini oluşturan Dijital-Sürrealizm etkileşimi ve gelişimi ele alınmıştır. Sanayi devrimi, dijital devrim ve çağımız sanatına bir köprü niteliğinde olan, dijital Sanatın hangi temellere dayandığı ve sürrealizm ile sentezi, tarihsel gelişimi değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca üretilen Dijital-Sürrealizm çalışmaları incelenmiş, günümüz sanatçısına neler kazandırdığına değinilmiştir.

While today's art is changing and searching at an incredible speed, many subjects, techniques and methods are trying to respond to the consumption of the age in a cycle. Technology, which is rapidly included in almost every area of life with each passing day, has become an indispensable part of modern people. This situation has also changed the feeling, thought and aesthetic view towards art. In the past, every art movement opposed or criticizes another art movement. Looking at the history of art, every movement; is in the thought of being the first, the original, the unique. For this reason, in today's art, just like in the past, art has been produced with the innovations created by the opportunities, environment and social life returns. The transformation of art is inevitable in this period, which is lived together with advanced and virtual technology. Just as technology has presented tools such as canvas, brush and palette to art, today the screen has presented digital form and virtual three-dimensionality. In the field of 21st century modern art, internet art; We witness that it is an area that has been criticized. The speed in the development of technology has accelerated with the 'Industrial Revolution', new philosophical, sociological and economic concepts that have emerged, inventions and discoveries have led to the shaping of digital art until today. Digital Art, which does not isolate itself from the movements that came before it, has embraced all art movements closely and included them in its field with a structural thought. Therefore, digital art has a lot of workspace. Contrary to what is known in this thesis, it is necessary to see internet art and art not only as something helpful, but as a new art movement. When we look at the history of art, the factors that have formed since its emergence, the interaction between the movements, and especially the interaction and development of Digital-Surrealism, which forms the basis of the work, are discussed. The industrial revolution, the digital revolution and the art of our age, which is a bridge to which digital Art. It is based on the foundations and its synthesis with surrealism, its historical development has been evaluated. In addition, the digital-surrealism works produced were examined and what they brought to today's artists was mentioned.
