'Harput examble' on culture existence protectionnism

Abstract

Geçmişten günümüze çeşitli medeniyetlerin hüküm sürdüğü şehirlerden olan Elazığ, Paleolitik Çağ'dan günümüze kadar yerleşim gören Anadolu'nun nadir kentlerinden biridir. İlk yerleşim merkezi olan Harput zengin bir kültürel mirası barındırmaktadır. Harput Mahallesinde restorasyonları gerçekleştirilen ve günümüze kadar sağlam olarak gelmiş olan bu kültürel miraslardan Urartu, Roma, Bizans, Selçuklu, Beylikler ve Osmanlı Dönemine ait kale, kilise, cami, mescit /türbe, konak ve çeşme yapıları incelenmiştir. Ele aldığımız eserlerin sağlam ve nitelikli olmaları bizleri bu konu üzerinde araştırma yapmaya teşvik etmiştir. Tez beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölüm olan giriş kısmında çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı, yöntemi ve konu ile ilgili tanımlar ele alınarak ikinci bölümde de kültür varlığı ve korumacılık kavramına yer verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde coğrafi konum ve tarihçe, dördüncü bölüm olan katalog kısmında ise yapıların adı, yeri, dönemi, plan özelikleri, restorasyon süreçleri ve tenkit edilen hususlar aktarılmıştır. Beşinci bölümde incelenen eserler özet olarak değerlendirildikten sonra sonuç kısmında günümüze kadar sağlam ulaşan yapıların bir kısmı restorasyon görmüş bir kısmının ise günümüzde restorasyon projeleri hazırlanılmaktadır. Bu onarım çalışmaları doğrultusunda yapıların, restorasyon sonrası doğru ve yanlış uygulamaları tespit edilerek korumacılık ilke ve tanımları çerçevesinde değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Koruma - kullanma dengesi sağlanamamaktadır. Çünkü çoğunlukla restorasyonların sorunları olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu çalışmamızda 2018 yılında UNESCO Dünya Mirası (DM) geçici listesine alınan Tarihi Harput Kenti'nde kültür varlıklarımıza doğru ve yerinde yapılan restorasyon uygulamalarıyla gelecek nesillere aktarılmasına katkı sağlayarak, kültür turizminde farkındalık oluşturmaktır.

Elazığ, one of the cities where various civilizations ruled from the past to the present, is one of the rare cities of Anatolia, which has been inhabited since the Paleolithic Age to the present day. Harput, the first settlement, has a rich cultural heritage. Urartu, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Principalities and Ottoman period fortress, church, mosque, masjid / mausoleum, mansion and fountain structures were investigated from these cultural heritages that have been restored in Harput District and have survived to the present day. The soundness and quality of the works we have studied encouraged us to do research on this subject. The thesis consists of five chapters. In the first part, the introduction, the purpose, scope, method and definitions related to the subject are discussed and in the second part, the concept of cultural existence and protectionism is included. In the third section, the geographical location and history, and in the fourth section, the catalog, the name, location, period, plan features, restoration processes and criticized issues of the building are mentioned. After evaluating the works examined in the fifth section as a summary, some of the structures that have survived until today are restored and some of them are currently under restoration projects. In line with these repair works, the correct and wrong applications of the buildings after restoration were determined and evaluated within the framework of protectionism principles and definitions. Protection - usage balance cannot be achieved. Because it is understood that restorations mostly have problems. In this study, it is to raise awareness in cultural tourism by contributing to the future generations with the correct and on-site restoration practices in our Historical Harput City, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage (DM) temporary list in 2018.
