Comparative Analysis of the Methods of Suzuki Violin School 1 and Ömer Can Violin Education 1

Abstract

Keman eğitiminde kullanılan metotlarda, içerik bakımından hangi konulara yer verildiğinin belirtilmemesi, bu metotları kullanacak bireyler için bir eksiklik oluşturmaktadır. Metot içerisindeki hedef davranış ve kazanımlar hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak, keman eğitim sürecini daha başarılı bir boyuta taşıyacaktır. Bu düşünceyle yola çıkarak; Bu araştırma, başlangıç keman eğitiminde kullanılan, Suzuki Keman Okulu I ve Ömer Can Keman Eğitimi I metotlarında işlenen konuları saptamak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Birçok keman eğitmeninin tercih ettiği düşünülen bu iki metot, teknik ve müzikal bakımdan incelenmiş, farklılık ve benzerlikleri tespit etmek için karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırma nitel bir çalışma olup ''tarama'' ve ''içerik analizi'' yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda her iki metotta kullanılan yöntem ve teknikler, teorik bilgiler ve müzikal kazanımlar belirtilmiştir. Bu sayede keman eğitimine başlayan öğrencilerin ve bu metotları kullanacak eğitmenlerin, metotlarda kullanılan temel hedef davranışları gözeterek doğru eğitim metodu seçmelerine fayda sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

The fact that the methods used in violin education do not specify which topics are included in terms of content constitutes a deficiency for the individuals who will use these methods. Having information about the target behavior and achievements in the method will take the violin training process to a more successful level. With this in mind, by the way; This research has been prepared in order to determine the topics covered in the Suzuki Violin School I and Omer Can Violin Education I methods used in the initial violin education. These two methods, which are considered to be preferred by many violin instructors, have been studied technically and musically and compared to determine the differences and similarities. The research is a qualitative study and 'screening' and 'content analysis' methods were used. As a result of the research, methods and techniques used in both methods, theoretical knowledge and musical achievements were indicated in accordance with the findings obtained. In this way, it is thought that students who have started violin education and the instructors who will use these methods will benefit from choosing the right training method by considering the basic target behaviors used in the methods.
