On the Qualitative Behaviors of Solutions of First Order Delay and Neutral Differantial Equations

Abstract

Bu tez dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. İlk bölümde belli biçimdeki birinci mertebeden gecikmeli ve neutral diferansiyel denklemlerin çözümlerinin niteliksel davranışları ile ilgili olarak literatürde yapılan bazı çalışmalar hakkında bilgiler verildi. İkinci bölümde tezin sonraki bölümlerinde ortaya çıkacak olan bazı temel bilgiler verildi. Üçüncü bölümde bazı bazı belli birinci mertebeden gecikmeli ve neutral diferansiyel denklemler göz önüne alındı ve bu denklemlerin çözümlerinin salınım ve asimptotik davranışları üzerindeki bazı çalışmalar aktarıldı. Tezin son bölümünde ise birinci mertebeden neutral diferansiyal denklemlerin çözümlerinin kararlılığı üzerine literatürde yer alan bazı önemli sonuçlar göz önüne alındı. Çalışma boyunca Lyapunov fonksiyonel yaklaşımı temel bir araç olarak kullanılmaktadır.

This thesis consists of four chapters. In the first chapter, we summarized some works made on the qualitative behaviors of solutions of certain first order delay and neutral differential equations in the literature. In the second chapter, we introduce some background information which arise throughout the next chapters of this thesis. In the third chapter, we consider some certain first order delay and neutral differantial equations. We take into consideration some works on the asymptotic behaviors and oscillations of solutions of the equations considered here. In the last chapter of this thesis we introduce some important results in the literature on the stability of certain first order neutral differantial equations. It is worth mentioning that throughout the most of works cited here, the Lyapunov functional approach has been as basic tool.
