Alienation in Turkish Short Story
Abstract
Yabancılaşma olgusu, Türk hikâyeciliğine 1950 sonrasında girmiştir. Bunu, kapitalist düzen, sanayileşme, şehirleşme, bilim ve teknolojinin beraberinde getirdiği hızlı değişim ve yozlaşmalar beslemiştir. Öte yandan yazarlar, batıda kendisini hissettiren varoluşçuluk, gerçeküstücülük gibi akımlardan, Sartre, Kafka, Camus, Beckett gibi yazarlardan ve Hegel, Feuerbach, Heidegger, Marx, Freud gibi düşünürlerden etkilenmişlerdir. Türk edebiyatında 1950 modern hikâyenin başlangıcı olarak kabul edilir. Yabancılaşmayı konu edinen yazarlar, toplumcu-gerçekçi çizgide eser veren köy edebiyatına tepki gösterirler. Böylece bireyi öne çıkaran, varoluş bunaltısını, yalnızlığı, hiçliği, boşluğu, umutsuzluğu, yaşamın anlamsızlığını, saçmalığı, tedirginliği, yenikliği, seçme özgürlüğü problemini, bireyin toplum tarafından dışlanmasını ya da onun her şeyi dışlayarak kendi içine kapanmasını dile getiren hikâyeler kaleme alınır. Bu çalışmada yabancılaşma olgusu, topluma yabancılaşma, aileye yabancılaşma, kendine yabancılaşma, aydın yabancılaşması, dine yabancılaşma, düzene yabancılaşma, kültürel yabancılaşma, cinsel yönden yabancılaşma, mekâna yabancılaşma, yaşama yabancılaşma, bilge yabancılaşması, bürokratik yabancılaşma, ekonomik yabancılaşma, değişime yabancılaşma, tabiata yabancılaşma, epistemolojik ve enformatik yabancılaşma başlıkları altında incelenmiştir. Yazardan yazara, yıldan yıla değişmekle birlikte, bu hikâyelerde öz-biçim uyumunun sağlandığı söylenebilir. Bu doğrultuda kişiler, zaman, teknik, dil ve üslûp, anlatım tekniklerine dair kullanımlarda yabancılaşma temasının belirleyiciliği dikkati çeker.
Alienation has been one of the main phenomena in Turkish short story since 1950. The term emerged as a result of capitalism, industrialization, urbanization, and teknology and science which caused radical changes and degeneration. In addition most Turkish writers have been influenced by various literary movements such as existentialism and surrealism, and by authors such as Sartre, Kafka, Camus, Beckett, Hegel, Feuerbach, Heidegger, Marx, Freud ect. 1950's is considered to be the beginning of Modern Turkish Short Story. The writers who dealt with the alienation in their works have strongly reacted to those who wrote their works according to social realistic movement. Thus these writers handled new topics and created new characters experiencing problems of existance, nihilism, hopelesness and loneliness, nothingness, hopplessness, absurdity of life, restlesness, defeatedness. In this study alienation has been examined under titles such as social alienation, domestic alienation, self alienation, intellectual alienation, theologic alienation, system alienation, cultural alienation, sexual alienation, place alienation, alienation to life, bureaucratic alienation, economic alienation, alienation to change, natural alienation, epistemologic and informatic alienation. Though it changes from writer to writer and year to year, it may be suggested that in these stories theire is a coherence between the form the content. Consequently alienation affects all elements of the short stories; the theme, the character, time, palace, language and style and narrative techniques.
