Bu tezde, F. Scott Fitzgerald'ın Bernice Bobs Her Hair, May Day, WinterDreams ve The Rich Boy gibi bazı öykülerindeki kadın karakterler incelenmiştir.Birçok eleştirmen, onun kadın karakterlerinin, maddi refahı, konforu, lüksü, amaçsızbir hayatı, bütün ahlaki ve insani değerlerin üzerinde gören bir dönem olaraktanımlanan 'Caz Dönemi'nin özelliklerini temsil ettiğini kabul eder.Onun yazıları 20. yüzyıl edebiyatındaki en popüler ve kalıcı eserler olarakkabul edilir. O, hem dönemin en büyük ilan edicisi, hem de en sert eleştirmenidir.
In this thesis, the female characters in some stories of F. Scott Fitzgerald suchas Bernice Bobs Her Hair, May Day, Winter Dreams and The Rich Boy have beenstudied. Many critics agree that this female characters represent the characteristics ofthe Jazz Age which is defined as a period valueing material wellbeing, comfort,luxury, idle life over all moral and humanistic values.His writings are regarded as the most popular and outstanding in the twentiethcentury literature. He is both the greatest celebrant and the sternest critic of theperiod.
